Personal Narrative-Weston's Short Story

And what did we do when the horses died? We buried them. Since horses have big bodies we needed big plots of land. Good thing it was a farm. The thing about my grandma’s farm was that it was supplies with well water.

So I’ll start from the beginning, this morning we saddled up the horses to check the fence like we do every morning. But this morning there was a little problem, the fence in the back field was down and the cows were gone. So we got the ranch hand together and went out to look for the cows. Some of us were on horses and some of us in the truck, but then we saw a huge stampede of cattle and in the distance I could see a cow with our brand on it.

After that we sat in silence for about 20 minutes until the cold began to nip at my feet and the tips of my fingers which made me very restless but I tried to do my best so I would not scare away the deer. There was around ten other cows in my class. Every cow in my class were really great and I would have liked to own any one of them. But the was one cow that had caught my eye right away in the class, I knew that this cow was going to be my biggest competition. The story behind this exceptional cow was that the owner of the cow was just named as the Princess Kay of the Milky Way just a few days ago. Of course she wasn’t the one that was on the lead strap because she had bigger things to do now. As the judge pulled us into the first line-up he called me in the first position with a confident point at me. As I excitedly, fast walked with my cow into the line-up it felt so good to be able to be in that position. Then as the judge circled around the line of cows to get the best look at each and every angle of the admirable cows in my class. The cow's hooves continued to turn green so the masters called the vet to come down and take a look at the cow. When the vet got there he took a look at the cow but he did not have a clue what would be causing the cow to have green hooves. So because the cow had green hooves the masters decided to send the cow to a farm in Texas because they thought the cow would give the other cows green

Then my dad said, “We are going to stop at my friends to take a break for a little bit so that we can get some fresh air and rest.”
