Who wins Florida I’m Dylan MCcree and I’m from Spain. I was in the war between Spanish and French for the settlement of Florida. I was with king Philip ll when we splitted into groups.I was top soldier in the whole country.I ended up in Spain because I was sailing to Spain to join them but, they thought I was an enemy. They shot me but they changed their minds and took me to become a soldier. First, we needed food and weapons. But we needed food first, so we bought cash crops and we ate some food but we saved the rest for after war so if we lose( which we will definitely not ) we will have something to eat. Now we need weapons so we made a lot of weapons but we didn’t keep all of them, we also sold some for more money for food or better weapons. The best weapons we got got sent to the leader of all the other soldiers and commanders( which was me of course ) of the tribe. I was the leader and my troops were the best they called me, Captain MCcree, I didn’t make them but king Philip said,” If you don’t call your leader Captain MCcree you will be given field chores for a year!”. …show more content…
The first week we only got 2-4 people, but the reason of that is because they didn’t understand that they can be a soldier but after we fixed it we got almost everyone in the country which is at least 30-60 people altogether. The actual number of how many new troops we got is, about 77 people! That’s a lot for us because since the last war we had didn’t end so well most of the country left because they thought that they were in
Today is Valentine's Day and I have nothing to do. Today I went to my brothers basketball game. They won 38-30 against auburn-y. This was a elimination game. I can't believe those ballers pulled it offing fugu. I mean when I was in 6th grade we didn't even make playoffs. Still single as always but I hope that will change. I like Evelyn Kitchen but I don't know if she likes me. I wimped out to ask her to dance with me and another kid in my advisory likes her too. It's pretty obvious. I just don't know if she likes me. I told my mom and dad and they told me to ask her. The worst thing that can happen is she says no and I get embarrassed to death. The next dance there is in March I'm going to ask her. I should probably explain
A few days in the marina, savoring the last little bits of our time in Florida, ended abruptly with an early morning trip to the airport in the dark. With spring break coming up and missing grandbabies, not to mention kids, we planned to fly back up north for a visit. We had to wear long pants and carry coats because we knew it’d be cold in Maryland. Ohhh…the horror of it.
My favorite memories is with my parents are when we go to Florida with my mom we go to the beach. Two years ago we went to Florida we went to the beach. My cousin keeper calling us ever hour the last time she called us we just got t my grandmas house. My mom kepet answer she did yes cami we are still in traffic. My mom is so funny when we go sown to Florida. When she finds shark teeth she gets so happy.
were taking everyone they could. They were taking even boys under sixteen which were the easiest to train and without any family responsibilities. Some of the new soldiers stayed at
Could you ever imagine driving twenty-two hours in a suburban with eight people? Although it was incredibly cramped, and tortuous, I was going to my favorite place… Florida. We were going with our neighbors, who I grew up with, traveled with, and basically did everything with. Our moms had decided to do a last minute trip to Florida and planned everything out the night before. We always did vacations on spring break, but this vacation my mom told me by surprise, at seven A.M.
From childhood to now, going to Florida has played an important part in my relationships, culture, and personality. I think that the trips to Florida started when my little brother was born. Having to take care of two toddlers and an infant and work full time was hard on my parents so, my aunt offered to take me and my sister home with her for a while. Being in Florida was slightly unnerving because my sister and I were alone. We sneaked into each other's beds, comforted one another, and told lame jokes to get rid of homesickness. Eventually, when my little brother was old enough and he joined in on the fun. The three of us had the best times in Florida. We ate foods like Haitian pate, diri ak djon djon, pikliz, fried plantains and other Haitian
Rarely do the geologic processes of the earth make major news headlines, but oftentimes when they do, it is because a catastrophic event has occurred and has seized public attention. This was unfortunately the case in 2013, when Florida native Jeff Bush became the victim of a tragic geologic event that left many Americans wondering if they were truly ever standing on “solid ground” (Sinkhole Swallows Florida Man). Bush, and a large portion of his suburban home, was swallowed up by a sudden sinkhole as his brother looked on in horror, trying in vain to rescue him as he was forced deeper underground. This sinkhole developed as a result of the dissolution of limestone, which is prevalent under much of Florida’s soil, and the
I first encountered the ocean in 1958; I was ten. Being a map enthusiast, I knew exactly where Florida was, and I was excited to swim in the salty Atlantic Ocean. Born and raised next to frigid Lake Michigan I understood a large body of water as well as a sandy beach, but no book or encyclopedia prepared me for understanding the flavor or immensity of an ocean and its adjoining shore. Arriving at the beach I raced across the hot pure white sand to keep my feet from burning, stopping in wonder when I saw ocean waves gently caressing a seashore that seemed to go on and on forever. I knew I was somewhere special.
Three of us. We were the only ones left, the only ones to make it to the island.
It’s been 2 years, 35 days and 22 minutes, and I’m still peeking through the dismal, damped window to just have a look at my family. Though years have passed but I still see my mother stepping out of the door every morning with the hope that her daughter Selina Dimp, would arrive. If only she knew that our separation would result to her survival, the urge and temptation to step in my house, smell the aroma of my ever favorite lasagna, tease little Jason and be in the arms of my mother has grown extremely more. No matter how many years have passed but the plague is still out there on our streets, infecting every person I love , my own brother and my entire Nation. As always, the newsboard flashes “The Republic of America war against the Democratic of America is still in progress” , the same old news by the government but for the first time it shows something that gives me a leap of faith for a second. The
On this Saturday’s evening game, the baseball game was 2 teams in the championship game. The 2 teams that were facing were Pipe Creek (which was my team) and Mcadams the team we had to beat. Mcadams was the #1 seed and Pipe Creek was #2 seed, we were throwing back and forth and getting some practice before the game. Later we finally start the game. Pipe Creek was the Visitors and Mcadams was the home team. Pipe Creek was up to bat first and we scored 6 runs in the 1st inning.
Once I released the baseball my heart dropped and I hoped for the best. It was one of the most stressful moments i’ve ever had in baseball. But first we should go back to when all this first started. It was a perfectly normal saturday we had a tournament like most weekend over the summer but not until I got to the field and and everyone was talking about the game did I over hear someone say this is the state tournament. This tournament ranked us in Illinois. We played the first two teams with ease we were up by five and they couldn’t seem to keep up, but the last game of the tournament was us versus the Plainfield Tornadoes. I remember that team very distinctly because of the circumstances I was in. I had pitched the first two games we played
This past February I had the chance to travel to Greenville, South Carolina to campaign for the Republican Primary. I have loved politics since I was six years old and I was ready for my first real opportunity. I had already accepted the position of Fulton County Chair and thought campaigning in another state would be the perfect way to prepare myself. I am a fairly reserved person but I was aware of the fact that if I ever wanted to turn my passion for politics into a career I would have to push myself harder. I was invited to accompany some family friends to campaign for the South Carolina primary. I knew I had to say yes. It was a
In reality, I was born in Medellin, Colombia but my roots extend all the way back to Africa. I am the product of the complex historical process known as colonization, where the Spanish enslaved my people, invaded Latin America, and destroyed the lives of the indigenous peoples. True, colonization was a brutal stain on history. However, one beautiful aspect
I am a 17 year old Hispanic, military brat and athletic young woman. I am the younger of the two kids in my family. My brother and I were born in North Carolina while my parents were stationed in Fort Bragg. Currently, my parents are stationed in Fort Hood, Texas and my brother and I decided to stay in Kansas to attend college. During my time in K-State, I am going to be spending time in Kansas, Texas and Puerto Rico.
