There is only one way to introduce yourself to the community. As a new superintendent, I would become part of the community and I would support the community. This involves identifying the movers and shakers in the community, leaders of the local and county governments, business, church leaders, and community organizations. I enjoy meeting people and I enjoy meeting them face to face. Within my first week, I would go to these people, introduce myself, and I would listen.
It is also important to meet with people who may not have had a positive experience with the school system. This is why I believe in an open door policy. At Pelham an elderly lady who at one time worked for the local school system came up to my office. My secretary
The community leaders should ask if the children are safe as they attend school, how effective is the transportation and travel to the school. Are there jobs and resources for the students after they graduate from school?
Everyone on earth is defined by their core beliefs. It’s what makes us all individuals, what separates us from the others. It wasn’t until I was talking with my friend Sean in 8th grade that I started to realize that one of my core beliefs, something I was taught growing up, may not be my own belief.
The Call Of Jack London During a time when man had gold fever, and philosophical views plagued the minds of many, one man took these views and turned them into great outdoor adventures. John “Jack” Griffith London, a twentieth century author, wrote The Call of the Wild, other novels, and short stories that depict the philosophical views of the time and added adventure to them by using his own life experiences that carried thousands of men including himself to the Klondike in search of gold. In Winter 1876 San Francisco John and Flora London shared the joy of childbirth in the celebration of their only child together. They named the

The district just needs to start listening and empowering the community and parents to be involved in a meaningful way. The first time, I spoke to PVVT, I said that I wanted to improve communication and get people talking to one another and working together. The LCAP meetings have shown me that people want to work together and be involved, and that if you ask, people will tell you what they think. It really could not have gone
“When all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love, we are all more free” (U.S. President Barack Obama, 2013). As early as 1924 our country has debated the idea of gays. In 1969 The Stonewall riots sparked the gay rights movement. In previous weeks debates continue involving the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016. However, our nation has fought for the ability to be equal, to embrace differences, and to build upon different ideas and cultures. Although, prejudice and discrimination still lerk among the hearts of Americans who will argue negative consequences involving the ability of same-sex marriage; yet embracing same-sex marriage supports financially, will support children involved, and
Of course the norm for me is that of any citizen living in zone three.
It was a small thing, the bright green of youth. I planted it on the 3rd, in my freshman year, with the Green Thumb Club at my high school.
Her father’s words echoed through her head as one might hear a reverberation throughout the Taj Mahal. Continuous. Chilling. Having no control to distill the wavelengths until they mellowed out on their own accord. She tried to anatomize the depth of his phrase, more than dutifully needed but Davina needed to know why. Why did she need to keep an open mind and more importantly, who the hell was about to come bursting through that door. But then again, did it really matter in the first place. When she thought about it, the brunette could have laughed at the idea. That an unattributed, faceless figure had her panties in a bunch. Surely Dominic wouldn’t think to waste her time with venial diversions,

I have been a leading member of several clubs and teams throughout high school. At my previous high school, Casady, I was a leading member of the Multicultural Club. I presented the festivals and traditions of several cultures to my entire high school bimonthly, and organized bake sales and activities with the goal of increasing cultural awareness. I was also an avid debater at Casady, where debate was an offered class. However, policy debate was the only style of debate that students could learn about. In my freshman year, I was a policy debater, and I did very well in state competitions and at national tournaments, but I enjoyed the philosophical arguments much more than the political ones found commonly in policy debates. Therefore, I started a Lincoln-Douglas Debate team, which focused on philosophy throughout the eras. I
Growing up with a father in the military, you move around a lot more than you would like to. I was born just east of St. Louis in a city called Shiloh in Illinois. When I was two years old my dad got the assignment to move to Hawaii. We spent seven great years in Hawaii, we had one of the greatest churches I have ever been to name New Hope. New Hope was a lot like Olivet's atmosphere, the people were always friendly and there always something to keep someone busy. I used to dance at church, I did hip-hop and interpretive dance, but you could never tell that from the way I look now.
The principal’s role in developing positive community relations sets the tone for communication patterns, partnership formation and/or alienation (Fiore, 2013). There are many tasks that the principal has that is important to school and community relations. Some of those are being a good listener, diplomatic and tactful and all situations. They also have to promote the open door policy to be free to communicate with students, parents, and their staff. They also have to inform the superintendent and community about good and bad things that are

We have all seen or worked for administrators who talk a lot but do not listen. In order to be a successful, productive, and respected leader, one must have two way communication (CPSEL 6.2). I believe that communication is like a circle that is unending. In the public school system it is imperative that one knows and understands the people who make the key decisions. A good leader will need to build those relationships, by coming to meetings key players are attending, becoming a team member on committees that key players are leading, looking at key players past history and exploring what programs and or issues are important to those key individuals. At the same time you are building relationships with the key players, one can share their own personal educational passions and demonstrate inter-personal skills that make them a team player advocating for the mission and the vision of the district. Simultaneously, you are leading your own school and developing relationships with and an awareness of your staff, the parents, and the local communities (CPSEL 6.2).
