Last summer I worked in the Credentials Office at the Illinois State Fair. Part of my job was to balance the accounts at the end of the day for all of the credentials, tickets, and lanyards sold. For a full month of my job we matched to the penny the balanced on what we sold compared to what people bought.
A girl named Jessica was hired one week. After the second day she was hired we started getting a couple dollars off balance. I double and tripled the cash to make sure it was not my mistake. Sure enough it was still a few dollars short. As soon as I noticed I brought the attention to my boss. She didn’t seem too worried about it because the amount was so small so we moved on. As the following week arrived, the amount of money kept increasing. Each day I still communicated the money that was off balance. Finally, my boss noticed it was becoming an issue and seemed off that every single day the accounts were off. Soon enough my boss called all five staff that

A day went by and nothing happened.
After the meeting adjourned, all of the girls were paranoid that they were continually making mistakes, all but one girl, Jessica. Jessica was very confident and several times denied that it was her. Once she saw how much everyone else was hurting from the situation, she began to ask specific questions about what would happen. It became suspicious. Purposely, my boss put her in the “cash cage” where she had me supervise all the transactions. It was safe to say my job got pretty boring by standing there watching people work.
Sure enough, the day I managed the transactions every second the totals at the end of the day were down to the penny the exact amount. The following day it was the same. It was like since my manager threatened watching cameras everyone made sure to be exact, which is a good thing in a
Have you ever been to Savannah, Georgia? Savannah is the most haunted city in Georgia. I have went to Savannah before. It was fun but frightening at the same time. While in Savannah I had gone to river street, went on a ghost tour, and seen many of the tourist attractions.
Jane Addams was a feminist, social worker, author, famous activist, and leader of the women's suffrage movement. She believed that before women’s suffrage that their voices should be heard in legislation and therefore should have the right to vote. She strongly believed that women should generate aspirations and search out opportunities to find them. She also cared for all kinds of people. Jane Addams and her college friend Ellen Starr moved into a old mansion in an immigrant neighborhood in Chicago, 1889. Which then became the Hull House. She responded to the needs of the community by establishing a nursery, dispensary, kindergarten, playground, gymnasium, and cooperative housing. This attracted many reformers dedicated to social service. She and other

Ryan’s job included making sure that all employees in his department were working to their full potential without any issues or problems. Sarah was good at her job, but because she was new there were a few things she needed to learn and work to improve. She was effective at working with other companies, but the paper work aspect seemed to overall the young girl. Ryan continued to work with Sarah giving her tips and plans on how to handle the workload. Sarah’s job description stated her responsibilities as promoting the company and getting other small companies to use the resources that Paychex offered, along with any paper work, emails,
Kansas City born and raised in rural Indiana, I did not live and grow up in the same house as most kids around here do. I’ve moved twice in my lifetime and couldn’t be more grateful that we did. My family has made southern Indiana our home now for the last 15 years. I’ve played multiple sports here and with each sport I made more and more friends. When I go back to the city I was born in, I think about how different my life would’ve been if my parents hadn’t decided to move. I would have never gotten the chance to wake up and be surrounded by corn fields every day. I would never have been able to ride fourwheelers in my backyard, mow grass on a riding-mower, or even have a garden. There is privacy here, whereas neighbors in the city can see
Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! That is the sound of the shiny red cart going up the tracks. “Are you scared?” I asked my little sister Sophia.
I was with my mom, and I wasn’t in school, yet I just got done with working at the fair. I spent a night at my mother’s house so that I can spend some time with her. When I woke up the next morning, I thought to myself y don’t I take my mom out to eat. So I got up from my bed and went to her room. Knocking on her door, I ask her if she wanted to spend a day with me. She got up and opened the door telling me that she would love to. I want into my room and found some clothes to wear, finding something cute I want to her room and got into her shower. Getting out of the shower getting dressed I asked her if she was about to get in the shower, she yelled out “YES.”
If she had an accurate ledger she would have been able to see that the credit card payments had not been made; therefore, jeopardizing the future purchases for the parts department. The owner, after this situation was identified, called the accountant into his office to inquire why the payments had not been made. Her response was that she was on vacation and felt that the transactions could wait until after her trip. This disgusted the owner and yet the repercussions were not harsh enough in the minds of the employees.
This year is going to be a great year because. We are going on a lot of road trips this year 2017. Like were going to mesa verde. Which is a city in a cliff in Colorado. Also I want to learn about how they survived in such harsh conditions. One last thing is this is one of the few national parks I have not gone to.
So it's Friday, July 22, 2015 it's also show day at Madison County Fair. I’m very nervous because I don't know if I’ll do good or not showing today. it's like 6:30am so I only have about an hour and a half before everyone will start to show. I just got done washing one of my heifers all I have left is my steer. It doesn't take much to wash them all you need is the soap you prefer and water. This year I’m only showing two, last year I showed a couple more than this year. As I'm washing my steer i'm very nervous
As soon as I walked up to the counter Teanna greeted me with Hello, in a pleasant tone. Teanna ask how could she help me I told her let me get the BMT sub and she replied, "6' or footlong, I replied, '6' and she said, 'what kind of bread would you like and I replied, "please give me the Italian herb and cheese and she said," what type of cheese would you like, and I replied "pepper jack". Teanna made my sub the way I wanted it and ask would I like chips and drink...Teanna was on a roll she was doing a great job. The entire time she was processing my order Adnan remember sitting on a crate being entertained by his cellphone after Teanna wrapped my sub up, Adnan raise from the crate he was sitting on and came to the register and rung up my combo. Adnan provided my receipt and did not thank me for
One of the women on the team I was working with pretty much made up her own rules and tried to tell others myself included what to do. Our boss would provide me with instructions on where I was to be and what I was attending too. With that being said the employee would try to undermine my boss and redirect me to other tasks. Naturally, my first step to repair this issue was in house and I voiced my concerns to my boss. I do believe she spoke to the individual who was causing issues yet our boss was not able to regain control of the situation and it just got worse over time. I know I am a strong individual who can take a lot but, working with this particular individual became unbearable. That is when I knew I had speak
With the development of medical sciences, mortality and morbidity related to medical treatment and management has reduced. Further effort to reduce this further is an ongoing process (Subhash, 2005). Unforeseen and expected complications and even death do occur during the
It all started at the State Fair. Many surrounding areas come to the little country town in Texas to enjoy the games and rides. It was normal to have a booth of crafts of candles, bath salts sitting around while I do three a card reading. It was simply to see read a three card reading than some long version to make extra cash while I was in college.
Laura, a student at a university in California, was chosen to participate in a two-month internship in India which focused on collecting data about the progress of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. At the end of the internship, Laura was to present the information at the company’s headquarters. While Laura was in India she struggled with communicating with people because she did not speak the native language and her translator, Ravi, often did not show up or was incredibly late to meetings. Ravi was also Laura’s CSR project coordinator and supervisor. The staff informed Laura that Ravi had not been preforming weekly meetings as expected. After relying on limited English to perform interviews with the staff and students, Laura discovered that there had been financial mismanagement of student tuition fees, rapid staff turnover and a drop of females attending the college. Laura informed Ravi of the issues that she had discovered. Ravi told Laura to not report her findings to the company’s headquarters since they had little involvement in the project and would not be able to make any improvements but that he would handle them internally. Since Laura was new to CSR work she was scared that she might cause consequences for the staff and students that she built connections with. As an intern, Laura knew her job was to document the setbacks of the project but Ravi was discouraging her to do so which made it hard for Laura to honestly report her findings to the
