Recently, a primary seat belt law was proposed during a legislative meeting for our state. The law would allow for drivers to be pulled over specifically for not wearing their seat belts. Currently, only 77 percent of Montanans buckle-up. This is much lower than the national average of 88 percent and significantly less than Texas, Washington, and Oregon, where fines ranging from $110 to $200 likely play a part in about 94 percent of people buckling up. Similar bills were proposed in Montana in 2011 and 2013, but they did not pass. Whether the primary seat belt law goes through or not, there are several things you can do to help prevent anyone in your family from suffering a personal injury in a vehicle accident.

Having your firearm on duty is a given, we have to carry it on use at all times its out job to have it. FACTS: In the early to mid-1900’s, there was an obvious difference between civilian law enforcement and our military. We all recall watching our soldiers in combat and all the special equipment they used. This included backpacks full of tools, ammunition and supplies. They also had heavy duty vehicles to include armored and track vehicles. We also saw them wearing clothing designed to assist in concealing them, making it harder for the enemy to see them and therefore adding an additional layer of safety that will hopefully prevent them from being shot or killed.

For young children who have difficulty communicating, visual schedule can be extremely helpful in allowing them to understand and see what is coming up next in their day. This can assist students who struggle to transition from one activity to another (Meadan, Ostrosky, Triplett, Michna, & Fettig, 2011). They can also be used to help children increase attention on the task and decrease dangerous and disruptive behaviors (Massey & Wheeler, 2000). A visual schedule allows a child to anticipate what is forthcoming in the day and when the child learns how to follow a schedule, it can be used as a way to more easily help explain changes in a routine (Quill, 1995).
