I am a studio art major so critical thinking and response is a part of everything. It is this basis for every painting, drawing and creation.It’s also a part of looking at others art and getting inspiration. I am sure of my career but as of now it would be between a scenic artist or selling my art on my own, or both. With Scenic painting Critical response is also huge. I did TTAP (Theater Theater Technology Apprenticeship Program) at the Omaha community playhouse through Metro my Junior and Senior year of highschool. I personally worked with the scenic artist there hands on painting and creating the look of each show for the 2 years. So say when working on A Christmas Carol set, What do I notice? Some of the set pieces need to be touched up from previous damages, They changed the scrim on scrooge's shop to show Marley's face, and the sets getting old. What …show more content…

I am thankful for all I have, I am cheerful and just delighted from the joyful look of the town's buildings.. What questions does it raise for me? I wonder why scrooge's bedroom is so green?, I wonder how they created such huge set pieces that move around?, I wonder how the buildings would look in another color or different texture?, I wonder how much longer this set will last? What meaning or understanding is intended or conveyed? The meaning of the set for A Christmas Carol is to bring the story to life, and show the true meaning and feelings or chirstmas. Another good example would be when I painted a statue for Around the world in 80 days. I kept noticing while working on it that my details were not big enough and didn't follow the 30ft rule. It reminded me of the statues in rome or greece that were fully nude. I felt very frustrated, but happy about the outcome. I wondered why they made me paint it with no private parts. This statue was in the main characters house showing the meaning of him being rich. There is critical response in every project in my
