Personal Statement: C Is For Christmas

Last is Christmas. Christmas is a good holiday where you can see family. You stay up all night thinking of all the presents

In the year 2008, I received my first elf for Christmas. Her name was Snowflake and she appeared with my brothers’ elves and my mom’s old childhood elf, Duende. She’s so beautiful with her velvet green dress, red and white striped tights with green velvet elf shoes with tiny bells. Every year after Thanksgiving, my elves would arrive. I have about twelve elves because I take such good care of them that Santa sends me his elves. Our family elves are extremely mischievous and do tricks every day during the Christmas Holidays. It is my favorite time of the year. Every morning as soon as I wake up, I run downstairs to see what mischievous things my elves have done. They are very smarting, witty and extremely creative. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love Christmas carols, decorating the house with my mom, baking cookies for Santa, the smell of pine from the Christmas tree and opening presents Christmas morning.

It is curious that as children, humans have the ability to observe and remember details of specific situations and instances yet lack the ability to describe them. Truman Capote, as a grown man, took advantage of his vivid memories and composed the short work, "A Christmas Memory." The story begins in late November, a month symbolic of all the years gone by that Capote could remember beginning preparations for Christmas fruitcakes.

My favorite part about it is that I get to stay up late and do what I want. I’m also excited for next year because of these two reasons: Legos and pokemon cards. Every new years, new legos come out, and every year they get better and better. My second reason is that new pokemon cards are coming out and I love pokemon cards.

Getting to hang with family. It’s difficult to get my whole family together but when it happens is one of the best things.

B. Christmas was always our favorite

My favorite parts of Thanksgiving are eating at my grandparent’s houses and spending time with family. Every Thanksgiving day, I eat at my grandparent’s house and get to enjoy food, such as turkey and ham, and see family, such as grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Then, I go to my aunt’s house and meet new people such as Sonu and Anika. I also get to see pets, such as dogs and cats, and play with them by taking the dogs for a walk with my cousins and friends. My favorite holiday is Halloween! I like it because I get to go get my costume and I also like it because the Halloween store had millions of costumes covering every square inch of the store. I also love to go through the store trying masks on and taking funny pictures in them. While we're are in the to the Halloween store my brother and I are talking to each other and seeing what we're gonna wear while we're trick or treating, further on in the night we will go to a party and we will go get candy. My favorite part of Halloween if filling my stomach with all the food, goodies, and candy filling up my stomach. also this year we were planning to trick or treating at the gncc or more known as the

At Easter, our extended family comes over and we have egg hunts for the little kids, kids, and adults. We also eat Easter brunch together. On Thanksgiving we also have our extended family over! Our family will eat an immense dinner cooked by my mother and my aunts. Football is usually playing on the TV, and everyone is having a great time. Christmas is our family’s most celebrated holiday. On Christmas Eve, we have lunch with some of our friends at Troegs. Later in the evening, we go to my mom’s brother’s house to give gifts and have a good time. On Christmas Day my immediate family will celebrate christmas together eating a delicious breakfast- usually cinnamon buns- and give gifts. Later that day, we’ll head over to our nana’s house and then to my grandma’s house. At my Grandma’s house we celebrate Christmas and my cousin’s birthday (which is on the same day). Two days after Christmas we will celebrate my birthday, which is on the

I have been here since Few years and one of the most special and memorable day for me has been Thanksgiving day. This is that day of the year when all the family members from whole country come together to celebrate Thanksgiving. For me Thanksgiving is special as it gives me a time to connect to my cousins and other family member who are usually busy throughout the year with their study and their work it is that time when we come together play a game of football together share our stories and our happiness together.

I like to say that I have been involved in 4-H since before I was allowed to be involved. Being the youngest in my family, I was always tagging along to 4-H events that my older sisters were in. Therefore, our clover kids’ leader, Michelle Hassebrock, let me participate with the clover kids about 2 years before I was even old enough to officially become a clover kid. That is where my journey in 4-H as a member of the Howard Happy Helpers officially began. From there, I was involved in 4-H all the way through my senior year of high school. My favorite holiday is Hanukkah. On Hanukkah I get to get together with friends and family to celebrate. The food eaten is also amazing. Some of the traditional foods that we eat on Hanukkah are latkes, jelly donuts, and matzah ball soup. When everyone gathers together to celebrate the holiday they are all in a cheerful mood. Everyone has fun lighting the menorah, playing dreidel, and spending time with one another.

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I love seeing the shinny Christmas lights that decorates my street and the sound of fresh fallen snow on the ground. Christmas reminds me of family, the laughter and loved we shared, and the gifts we gave to each other. My house on Christmas became the center of my joy.

I think Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays. Maybe because of the special atmosphere that you can feel everywhere, in shops, restaurants , pubs and even streets, where you can hear the magical carols, or maybe it's because of its religious background, but what I can tell you for sure is that I can't think of anything more exciting than the image of the entire family preparing the Christmas Tree or fixing the Christmas dishes.
