Personal Statement For Internship Goals

Hello, I am Kelly Conley and I have recently enrolled at Boise State University (BSU) as a sophomore. My goal at BSU is to earn a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on history and graduate by 2018. I have recently retired from the United States Air Force (USAF) after 24 years of service. My hobbies include white water rafting, gardening, and spending time with my wife of 16 years, Heather.

I am also a cheer coach for children, ages eight to ten, which has taught me how to treat little ones. I want to be able to make children feel comfortable and safe when they're at the doctors. I want them to feel as if there is always someone there that can help them no matter the severity of the problem. I have always taken a pleasure in meeting new people and I know being a nurse will guarantee that. Being in healthcare, I will be able to interact with all different types of people everyday. Working at Rita's during the summer has given the chance to engage with people that I have never met. I was relate to adapt so quickly with customers and coworkers and I feel like I have become a more open person. I wish to participate in the Keystone Internship Program because I am passionate about pursuing a career in public history in Pennsylvania. I fell in love with Pennsylvania’s rich historical tradition the first time that I visited the battlefield at Gettysburg. My time spent working for the National Park Service confirmed my love for Pennsylvania’s heritage. As I researched in the Gettysburg library, I kept discovering fascinating information regarding other cities and towns in Pennsylvania that also had treasure-troves of history. As a result, I decided to travel to many different historic sites, parks, battlefields, and homes in order to contribute to the preservation of Pennsylvania’s historical legacy.

I love working through agencies because I enjoy the opportunities to work with diverse patients in various settings. And I am grateful that I am able to quickly adapt to varied environments. No two days or patients are ever the same; each individual is with unique needs. In addition, I get to work with health care professionals and pick up skills that, in my opinion, cannot be taught in a classroom setting or a textbook.

Over the years, since freshman year i've always had my personal goals that id set every quarter and year. It is important to set goals for yourself so you can see how far you've came and how much you've done. I have many goals, especially as a Junior. But my main goals are to graduate, get into a good college, get my degree, get a good job, and have a family. Overall, just to be successful. I am a second-year student at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Common Law and I am seeking unpaid student-proposed internship position with your law firm. By completing a student-proposed internship with your law firm, I will not only be able to gain practical skills in a professional environment that will add value to my degree, but I will also be awarded three university credits that will be used towards the program of study.

One of my academic goals is to get the best education possible at Allan Hancock College before I transfer. We live in a small apartment and we are a family of five; we don’t usually go out and eat at restaurants only in special occasions.

Therefore, better my workplace delivering excellence in results and stand out as a leader.
