Ever since I was a little girl, I've been very passionate about fashion and the way I look. I was drawing all the time - from graphic paintings to designing shoes and clothes, even bride dresses. I studied Fashion Design in high school where I decided I would like to continue study the fashion industry but in more in the business side of it. It has been a dream of mine to live in New York and to study at Fashion Institute of Technology.
Originally I am from Bulgaria, Eastern Europe. I moved to The Us when I was 22 years old. I lived in New Jersey for a couple of years and I finally moved to the city that never sleeps a year and a half ago. When I was still in Jersey, I talked to a friend who's been a fashion designer since he was a teenager. We had a long six hours conversation about fashion, designers, different eras of fashion, magazines and so on and on. It felt so good to talk to someone who has the same interests as me. This is one of the reasons why I would love to get accepted at FIT - to meet new people with

It was such a great experience - it was a couple of weeks program. I had to come to New York for a few days and even though I had to travel every week by bus, the whole experience was so special and it made me so happy. I met incredible people, who I'm happy to call friends, I was part of styling projects and I learned so much trough that time. I knew that was the place for me and that one day I'll be a full-time student. Not too long after, I signed for another program, where I studied marketing and advertising - it was more challenging than the previous course but such an amazing experience. I got to meet incredible teachers, who were supportive even after I graduated the program. I've become friends with a lot of people - people from all around the world, with whom I shared the same passion, the same passion that brought us all
After graduating from Brazosport College, I plan to transfer to the University of Houston in the spring of 2018 to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Management. Once I complete my Bachelor’s degree my goal is to have my own fashion boutique. I have always been told to find my passion and turn it into a career. Turning my love for fashion into my own business is what I plan to accomplish one day. My goal is to not only have my own business, but create a platform that will make a positive impact in the community and the lives of each customer.
Into 11th grade I pursued this path of taking fashion classes in the city, and took fashion marketing classes in. From all the hard work and determination In these classes through out high school, I was rewarded with high grades, which are hard to obtain in these courses. I also stood out because I was interviewed and placed upon the FIT website itself, under “who’s in precollege?” (When you apply for a course) which holds the information and pictures of a handful of unique and stylish individuals. All of my fashion experiences as a whole have built me into the hardworking, determined, independent individual I am now and I am very proud that was able to achieve these aspects in order to reach my goal of being apart of the fashion industry. I also feel that this has made me eligible and also worthy of becoming a member of the National Honor Society who’s character will be beneficial towards this
My love affair with fashion started years ago, but over these past 2 years it has grown into something so beautiful. Fashion made it’s grand entrance in my life when I was looking over a Chanel catalog along with a few other designers. For example; Vera Wang, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Phoebe Philo, and many more. The designs caught my eye and I was just mesmerized by it all. It literally took my breath away! I always told myself and my family that I will grow to be an amazing fashion designer and sell beautiful, elegant clothing known to man. A worldwide known designer.
One person that inspires me in fashion is Anna Wintour. Sure, it’s completely cliché of me to look up to her versus everyone else who adores her. However, my admiration for her is so intense. Her poise and demeanor is so incredible. She’s the complete master of her craft and she holds class while doing it. Growing up I’ve always wanted to be in the rim of fashion. Weather it was designing or just being the boss in the world of fashion. Moreover, as I got older my passion grew more so in magazines and I loved to read and write. My friends would always say they loved my style and where to get this piece from. I’d always been such a modest person when it comes down to people complementing me on my style. Soon I noticed that I always cared more
I read that prior to moving to New York you worked in a bank. What made you decide to quit your native country and career to study fashion in the US?
As a child, I have always been a visually observatory person. Patterns, textiles, and fashion have always been high interests of mine. My childhood consisted of many Barbie dolls as toys, and it wasn't the Barbie dolls that I wanted to play with, but the clothes that I loved to collect and interchange between the dolls. Creating different outfits for the dolls made me feel as if I was making my own mark in fashion. As I grew older, begging my mother to purchase fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Harpers Bazaar were typical and became expected. While flipping through the pages of fashion magazines, I was enthralled while examining the latest trends from celebrities and models. This is what influenced me to want to work in the fashion industry.
“I think I see myself as someone who wants to be into fashion. In a sense of knowing what the fashion world is like,” said Maass. “I find myself following fashion twitter pages and think I'm knowing what I'm doing. I try to be knowledgeable about the world of fashion.

I have always been interested in fashion in a creative way in not just my life, but fashion has also impacted my academic journey. From an early age, I knew belonged in and wanted to be a part of the world of fashion, to not only build a life around Fashion but to make a career for myself in the Fashion Industry.
I like to create my personal style and help others who cannot seem to wrap their heads around what to wear and how to wear it from fitted pieces to chic ensembles to satisfy their fashion taste buds. I am a creative and I remember in my teenage years I would draw and design outfits. What brought me to fashion was that I found out that the clothes people were wearing was practically the same and I don’t like wearing what every other person is wearing. I like being myself and this led me to explore with various fabric and styles for teenagers and ladies in their 20’s and with time I started making clothes for myself and now I make practically all my clothes by myself and I have helped to satisfy the taste buds of young ladies. So many things inspire me when it comes to styling and fashion; Nature inspires me, fabrics inspire me. I see a fabric and immediately in my subconscious mind, I am already thinking of what pattern or style to create with the fabric. I have inspired fellow twenty somethings with my personal style and fashion statement. I find clothing interesting and fun because it is used to express who I am.
At age 13, I fell in love with the world of fashion. My first glimpse of fashion was through television, then magazines and ultimately the World Wide Web. Through the internet, I could remove myself from my small town and see the world and what it had to offer. I knew then that if I wanted to be a part of the fashion industry, I needed to move to New York City.

In the recent years, the fashion industry has been constantly changing its style and because of this, it has drawn me in strongly into the industry. Having an interest in the fashion industry can mean many things. For starters, it can mean just having an eye on the stylish, luxury items, but for others, it could mean to collect the most stylish, rare, and luxurious items. The fashion industry consists of three categories: apparel; footwear; and accessories. For me, I am drawn greatly by the footwear and accessories side of fashion.
I enjoy making sketches of clothing that one day will hopefully be available in stores all over. I could see interior
