Business accounting requires the use of a software program that manages the database and that can be programmed to produce the reports required by management. An accounting degree or business administration with a focus on finance is a solid base, while an MBA with focus on accounting or finance will propel you into a leadership position in your employer's fiscal affairs.
Ever since I was a young child I have had great interest in the economy and the business world. I pursued this interest by studying Business Studies for 4 years from it being one of my options in GCSE to A-Level and I have enjoyed every moment of it very much, as it blends in with everyday issues, but I still believe that there is much more that I can learn. I am a determined, hardworking individual who always strives for success. I believe these qualities are vital in order to be successful in completing Business degree. I am a fast learn and I believe that success comes from within and that my approach and attitude to the subject will determine how successful I will be.
In Petra Christian University, I have taken several accounting subjects such as Principles of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and International Accounting. My team created unique mugs which consisted of a well-loved local landmark and a haiku style poem. By taking on the role of managing director I was in charge of ensuring that my team knew what they were doing and by co-ordinating tasks. By studying business at GCSE and at A-level it allowed me to apply the theory learnt in the classroom in the real operation of a business. There were many ups and downs along the way. One of the ups was winning the Brighton and Lewes area finals and progressing into the Sussex finals where we went on to win another 3 awards. In competing in the competitions I gained so much confidence from presenting in front of an audience of 100 people consisting of many business owners – something which I never thought I would be able to do! However, as there is in every business, there were some downs too, with issues arising in relation to raising finance and meeting tight deadlines consequently meaning I was required to think outside the box and solve any problems that we were faced. This ensured that the business ran as efficiently as possible. Through doing this I gained many valuable transferable skills such as leadership and excellent time
I inhaled. With a deep breath, I took in the distinct smell of antiquated clothes that every thrift store seemed to embody. All around me were rows of bins full of second-hand donations that were waiting for a new home. Once a week, I made a pit stop after school to my local Goodwill outlet to find pieces that I could recreate and add my own personal touch to. The outdated mom jeans can be distressed high-waisted shorts with studs on the back. The over-sized floral dress can be a crop top and a skirt.
I will keep my studies my number one priority until I achieve our dream of being a professional and I will help my parents by working as soon I can, I promised to my grandparents while I hugged them drowning in tears. You are strong Inesita, we know you will do great, my grandmother said giving me her blessing. It was the last time I saw them before my parents, my brother, and I emigrated to the United States of America looking for a better future. Seeing my dad’s frustration for not being able to work for six months due to a delay on his papers, my mom’s responsibility of paying all the bills working only a part time job, and my brother and me being exposed to a new educational system plus a language barrier to overcome was a nightmare. However, I had the best team with me: my family and a promise to keep.
My undergraduate program already given me a strong understanding of financial systems and payments, and I obtained abundant experiences in management of Accounting system, including database design and internal control, through academic

This self-evaluation assessment has provided the pros and cons of my interpersonal interactions with employees as a business owner. The implications of the Emotional Intelligence assessment have inspired me to identify and single out the positive and negative aspects of my personality as a business leader. I have become more aware of the importance of self-knowledge as a way to identify emotional patterns that can help me understand my employees outside of their job performance. The important aspects of Empathy and Self-regulation were important ways that I can become a much better leader in terms of building teams for the car detailing business. In this way, I am not just “running a business”, but I am a business owner that loves his job and respects his employees. I am certainly more aware of my Emotional Intelligence as a way to improve my business goals.
I have watch this beautiful, strong, vocal woman who is my mother speaking in behalf of my grandmother, and I never knew why when I was small. As I got older I understood why. My mother always made sure that nobody took advantage of my grandmother or disrespects her. My grandmother was a very proud and intelligent woman, but as she got older it was hard for her to express herself, so my mother became her voice. Now I find myself walking in my mother shoes. My mother is now a senior citizen and I am her voice at times.
First, have a definite, clear practical ideal; a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end." ~ Aristotle
The purpose of this memo is to evaluate my listening skills, assess my strengths and weaknesses, and describe how I can improve my skills. My listening self-assessment score of 36 indicates that, although my skill level is decent, I have room to improve significantly. I regularly attend professional meetings where either informational listening or critical listening is required. Despite this, I consider my listening skills subpar and am aware of my need for improvement. In understanding how I can improve, I must first assess my strengths and weaknesses.
