I lived in a village, during my childhood which is very far from the airport and I used to see the aircrafts which flew few miles above in the sky. By hearing the sound of an airplane, my eyes were in search to locate it, in the sky. I and my friends ran our guts out until we can have the last glance of the aircraft. My passion & Interest have grown up with me. Finally my dream came true. I always wanted to get into the greatest of all Sciences, i.e. engineering. The good thing about Mechanical Engineering is that all my interests find application. My rendezvous with Mechanical Engineering began during my school days, when we visited a toy manufacturing facility as part of our educational tour. I remember watching in amazement, an array of complex machines working in unison to transform plastic and metal into intricately contoured toys. Even at that age, my mind was able to comprehend the sheer genius of the wizards who engineered those magnificent machines. It was then that I aspired to enter this intriguing branch of mechanical engineering.

Since childhood I was fascinated towards machines and I always stand against the idea of cramming the textbooks for the sake of good grades. For me, Science and Engineering is about Learning and Application. Can you imagine the Air Bus A380 airliner, the largest passenger airliner in history, which is packed with cutting-edge technology, owes its very existence to the most unlikely breakthroughs - a Mongolian bow and a 19th century rocket? I learnt this while watching “Engineering Connections” show on National Geographic.

For me, the pursuit for knowledge has been my supreme goal forever, so higher education is something that I want to take, just to further quench my thirst for this area. I want to contribute my knowledge and skills to the world in such an era when there are no longer boundaries. Thus to satiate my curiosity and to fulfil my dreams, I have decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Humans have a natural tendency to feel attraction towards mystery. When I was a kid, Machines were mysterious to me, to be completely forthright, it is as yet the same. Whenever I visited my grandfather’s machine shop then, those lifeless-creatures always enchanted me. In fact, my adolescence was surely brimming with doing all the fun things, at least to me. Splitting a toy, then dismantling its motors, later use them to make a water boat-electric fan was my regular activity. Since machines had lured me all my life, it was an obvious decision to choose mechanical engineering as my future endeavor. Now, after completing graduation from the Islamic University of Technology, a top-tier (OIC-Affiliate) and only international University of Bangladesh, I would like to pursue a career accomplishing a Ph.D. in the field of “Mechanical Engineering” as an ardent Mechanical Engineer. My personal interest, academic performance, brief exposure to research, professional experience and inquisitiveness led me to believe that it would not only allow me to expand my knowledge but also would give me the opportunity to obtain my eventual objective of taking up a research-oriented career in the field of mechanical engineering.

Considering my intelligence with capability of working hard, I believe that I have succeeded in progressing toward my objectives, and in order to continue in this direction I am enthusiastically applying to ******* University for the graduate studies program. I’m going to study for M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering field. My decision to apply for a master program is originated from my aspirations to do organized research and the desire to gain factual knowledge and learn ideas have always fascinated me. Even before completing my undergraduate studies, I felt that I should not set my limits on just a Bachelors degree and I realized the need to continue learning and decided to further my education with a higher degree. After giving a visit to an Aero India Show last year in Bangalore has, developed a curiosity in me to know the manufacturing world of an aerospace industry. It is for this reason that I wish to pursue a Masters course in Aerospace Engineering in the “Aerospace Structures and Materials track” from Delft University of Technology.
