Personal Statement Of Purpose To Become A Veterinarian

There is definitely a lot to be taken away by this great video. It was very informing and inspiring to see this. I loved how he explained how he indirectly and directly accomplished all of his dreams, no matter how small or childish. Another aspect that I enjoyed was his use of walls and blocks in life, and how it leads to something better.

Two years ago, I was hired as a veterinary assistant at Ivy Hill Animal Hospital, and ever since then I have had a strong intellectual passion for veterinary medicine. It was at this time when I discovered my love for this field that I decided to dedicate the rest of my educational career to becoming a veterinarian. I have always been extremely interested in science and math, so throughout my high school career I took several AP courses for these subjects and exceeded to amount of credits for each field. I did this to further prepare myself for all the college courses that I knew were in my future. However, my main source of preparation has been through my employment at the animal hospital.

Every since I was a little girl I always wanted to be an veterinarian due to the fact that I love animals and I feel as if I have a connection with them. During my eight grade year of school I decided that I wanted to be and Equine technician. The reason why I wanted to be an equine technician is because for many years I watched My family's equine doctor operate on our horses and it really fascinated me and one day I was able to help out our doctor and I just felt as if this is what I wanted to do with my life. That's why in college I wanted to pursue an Animal Science Major as well as an Equine Studies or Equine Science Minor.

My primary motivation to become a registered veterinary technician is to learn and do more in the field of animal care. My experience working directly with animals has been incredibly rewarding. More than anything, it has shown me how important attention to detail and the most basic tasks can be. I have developed a healthy respect for the often tedious and demanding labor that is required to keep animals healthy and happy and I am quite comfortable taking on these duties, but I feel ready to do more.

My initial interest in veterinary medicine began during my childhood when I developed responsibility in providing care for all animals. I had hands on experiences when exercising proper herd health techniques with our veterinarian for our cow/calf operation. I learned how to vaccinate, create a balanced nutritional diet, and prepare for each calving season. I also became fascinated with the human-animal bond when training a Leader Dog for the Blind and showing livestock around the state of Indiana. My experiences with having a connection with animals and taking care of them encouraged me to further investigate the veterinary profession.

Ever since the fourth grade, my mind was set on becoming a veterinarian. In middle school, I created a business plan to have my clinical practice connected to a pet shop. During high school, I began volunteering at Arch Creek Animal Clinic to gain hands-on experience. As a first-generation Latina, I have pushed myself to achieve the life that my parents were unable to attain. My father came with a goal in mind. That his future children wouldn’t have to go through the life that he had, waking up at five in the morning and carrying slabs of meat around, because he was the son of a butcher. My mother came to New York in my grandmother’s womb, and she hopes her children get an education and enter a career that will not only support us financially,

I am currently enrolled as a student of Veterinary Science at the University of Arizona. Initially, I came to the university with the intent of joining the career field as a veterinarian. However, after one school year and multiple job-shadowing opportunities, I realized that being a veterinarian was everything that I had imagined it to be. I found that I wanted to be working directly with the animals rather than just diagnostics. With these ideas in mind and some research, I concluded that the career that would give me the most fulfillment in my life would be a veterinary technician.

Going on the journey of the roller coaster ride on becoming a veterinarian takes guts and the will to work. Becoming part of the veterinarian world is going to take a bit more than just the love for animals. If you are planning on becoming a vet you are in for a long road of working and it will take up a ton of your time. Being determined is the most important thing when entering the vet world. Working as a vet requires an intense education, it comes with plenty of responsibilities and the salary and job advancements are amazing once you get experience.

As I embark on the journey toward attending veterinary school and becoming a veterinarian, my goals span the realms of professional, personal, and community aspirations. Professionally, my primary objective is to excel in veterinary medicine, specializing in the care and well-being of animals. I aspire to contribute to advancements in veterinary science, particularly in animal welfare and health areas. On a personal level, I am committed to continuous learning and growth within the veterinary field. From an early age, my fascination with animal welfare and a commitment to aiding even the tiniest creatures have been constants in my life.

Veterinarians provide medical services for animals that are big and small. Helping sick animals weather they are big or small. They provide medicine for house pets and farm animals. When owners take there pet to the vet they are looking for someone to provide information to them about their animal. Some of the information given to the own is about how to properly care for your animal to make sure it grows the right why. Veterinarians are there to help animals no matter the size.

As a child, I used to love all animals no matter what everyone else used to think about them. I had every kind of animal book you could imagine from reptiles, to amphibians, and even dinosaurs. I loved learning about their habitat and their diet because it they are so much different than ours but they are living just the same as us. There wouldn’t be a day that went by where I wouldn’t be thinking about animals which made me think about becoming a veterinarian until I became aware of the fact that I had to put them down sometimes.

A career in being a veterinarian should be obtained by a person who enjoys caring for animals, and sometimes having to care for their owners when they have to make hard decisions. Before becoming, a veterinarian person should know the career proves to need a lot of education, but is well worth the work in the end. It is important to know a veterinarian’s regular duties, required education, and the possible salary before choosing a career in this field.

Why I would like to be a Veterinarian is because you get to help pets and animals live and stay healthy at the end of the day don't you want to feel good about what you did that day.
