As I am shuffling through the plethora of papers sitting on my desk, hoping to find the career pamphlet that tells me who I am and what I am supposed to be doing with my life, I realize that no one other than myself can answer “Who am I? Who am I in the process of becoming?” As I begin to map out my future in accordance with my interests and career goals, I realize how lending a helping hand and acting as role models for others have been an essential part of my daily life. I aspire to impact the lives of others, as there is nothing else that brings me more happiness and personal gratification. There is no other way to describe the warm feeling that I experience when I see the change in someone’s expression or attitude after I help them, whether it be through the way their eyes light up or the way they smile gratefully at me. It could be a small act of kindness, such as holding the door for someone or assuring a worried person, but I believe as humans it is our duty to serve and act as a role model for others, to promote the well-being of communities worldwide.
There are few certainties of what one will encounter during life. A common joke names two: death and
It is my personal mission to be a person that brings a smile to the faces of people I meet. I will continue to be grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow, knowing that this will benefit my future and ensure that I am successful.
I am a funny and hard working person but, I know when to work and when to play. I want to become a successful business owner. What I mean by that is I want to own many closely related but spread out through the country fast food restaurants and gas stations. I hope to live long like many of my relatives. I am here on this Earth for a reason, to make it a better place, make it more populated, and help the homeless.
Hello Precious Pinky Painters, It's FRIDAY!!! And I have high plans for the weekend - Sleep. No, not very interesting, but completely necessary. I plan to catch some Zzzz's inbetween chauffering the boys from practices to events, to activities. I'm getting tired thinking about it. I hear my bed calling so let's get this post going.
For this scholarship, I have been a logical representation in a handful of ways. From a very young age, I decided to stay away from parties, and illegal substances. Those two things have destroyed people´s lives. With seeing how it demolished people´s lives, I decided that I would stray from those things. I have been a good representation because I have shown leadership in a few ways. I have assisted fellow classmates in group projects, and I help younger pupils keep on track, and stay focused when getting ready for a band performance. I also sanctioned community involvement. I have volunteered to help run blood drives, and I have participated in Project Christmas. While there, you place different types of food into bags,
You wake up and find yourself passed out on your friend's floor. For a few seconds, you find yourself confused, but then you remember the wild party the night before. Well, some of the party, anyway. Your memory goes fuzzy after these hot chicks starting passing around a few special drinks.

Soon after, Constantine left with Oliver, leaving Team Flash the time alone they needed, promising to be a call away for anything. Once the speedster was back with his speedster suit on, mask off, everyone ended in the cortex, closely watching the monitors to follow his vitals and the cell feed, waiting for Barry to finally join them again. How were them even gonna break the news of what they just did? The young man already hated them enough without adding that.
When I first moved to the United States, one of the things that confused me the most about Americans was their apparent lack of hospitality. It was almost astounding the way our neighbors were so inhospitable to those around them. They did not converse with anyone on the block nor did they give out the feeling of wanting to converse with anyone. The only friendly people there were the Filipino families next to our house and the one four houses down from ours. I loved my culture because as a kid, I grew up being taught to respect everyone around you and always be kind and caring. It was taught to me by my grandparents, my parents, my teachers, and my peers. The Filipino sense of hospitality is, in my opinion, one the the best things in the
I love to create worlds, people, and even entire universes with a pencil and paper. Simple lines, shapes, and colors put together to make one product. Splotches of vibrant color bring out the scenery as the simple lines and shapes become complex figures. My mind is the limit, nothing is impossible to create on my paper.
I was born in a military hospital in Wurzburg, Germany. My father was a captain in the U.S. Army and my mother was a homemaker. I spent the first several years of my life living on an American military base, and attending German schools. My brother and I had many friends both native to Germany, and from the U.S. My father was often deployed; so many times it was just the three of us. My mother was very active in our lives, teaching us to ride bikes, taking us to school plays, and reading to us at night.
Pursing a career as a medical doctor is an opportunity for me to mentor youth in underserved populations. As a child, I was raised in the low income, urban community of Roxbury, MA. Although not as notorious today, the neighborhood had garnered negative attention for its high crime rates. My mother emigrated from Haiti and raised me as a single parent. Due to our financial circumstance, Roxbury became our permanent residence. I have always felt there was something lacking in Roxbury in comparison to other towns I visited. My teenage years were largely spent in the suburban town of Stoneham where I attended high school. There was a literal difference in air quality and a psychology contrast in future prospects. While native students of
As a University of Delaware student, I am constantly learning about myself and my subjects each and every day. As a strong believer in the power of education, I also believe that many valuable lessons derive from out of classroom experiences. This has encouraged me to apply to this study abroad program, so that I can apply these lessons to new experiences. From my experiences, I have learned a little more about myself and how to bring these skills to new experiences, which will serve as great assets as I continue my education abroad.
Sept. 23, 2015 @ 8:30 A.M.- Today I woke up earlier than expected, even before my alarm clock, and couldn’t go back to sleep. This led me to choose between getting up to get some studying or reading done before going to class, or to just relax on my bed and browse through my phone. Both choices would lead to different outcomes. If I chose to get out of bed and do some school work, I would end up not having to do the work later on in the day, decreasing my workload and stress. This also means that I can have more free time for myself during the day, and can spend some time with family and friends. This would be something pleasurable for both me and, hopefully, for the people around me. On the other hand, if I chose to stay in bed and just
