No two people are alike, and no two personalities are alike. A personality is made up of different characteristics, which help to define a person. Per the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator everyone has a four-letter personality type with 16 different personality combinations. These personality types affect everyone’s personal, social and work life. My four-letter personality type is ISFJ (introvert, sensing, feeling and judgment). There are many different personality types. The four dimensions of personality are: extravert or introvert; sensing or intuitive; thinking or feeling; judging or perceptive. Each type has unique gifts and talents that can be used in different occupations. ISFJ personalities are practical and motivated to provide for others in the careers that they choose. The ideal work environment for this personality type is to work alone on projects, work with known facts, use standard procedures, work in a friendly and relaxed environment. Careers that are suggested for someone with the ISFJ personality are interior decorators, nurses, administrators, managers, child care professionals, counselors, paralegals, religious workers, shopkeepers and office managers. Personally, I want to work in the Biotechnology field developing cures for sick children and adults. I would love to find the cure for cancer and lyme disease. If I can make a difference in someone’s life I will then be satisfied with what I do for a living. In relationships I tend to have a lot of emotions and intense feelings. I have a hard time trying to express these feelings to my spouse and tend to hold them in. When it comes to conflict I prefer to sweep things under the rug and pretend that they didn’t happen. I mostly do this to avoid more conflict with my spouse. This is a problem that most people with the ISFJ personality face. We do not express our feelings like we should until we are pushed to a limit and we explode in anger and say things that we should not say. ENFJs have an immense heart for others, almost to a fault. ENFJ’s easily reflect on and over-analyze their own feelings, so if they get too caught up in another person’s conflict, they immediately blame the distress on themselves and try to fix everything. True to my personality type, I genuinely care about motivating people to live their best lives full of happiness. So, my biggest strength is my selflessness. This is true to an ENFJ personality type that constantly wants to bring people together and make a better world. The most relatable fact I found about ENFJ’s is the weakness of ENFJ’s being too sensitive. I take everything said to me to heart and am always worried if I have met people’s expectations of me. Similarly, ENFJs take too much to heart and constantly worry if they are doing enough. Because of this anxiety, ENFJs also have a fluctuating self-esteem and an indecisive nature. My self-esteem is almost entirely based on how other people are treating me. And every decision is a massive ordeal because I can’t stop thinking about everyone involved and what the want to happen. I want everyone to get his or her way; I hate the feeling of dissatisfying someone. Also true to me, I avoid conflict like the plague. I always want to serve the role of peacekeeper in a conflict. I also love to volunteer and give back, also true to ENFJ. Most everything I found on ENFJ fit me pretty well.
Personality can be defined as patterns of a person's thoughts, feelings and behaviors in various situations. In its most basic form personality is attitude, values and interests. Personality traits can also be known as behavioral differences. Understanding and appreciating the diverse personalities of others can help people to interact and know why one person might act or respond in a certain way. This appreciation of personality diversity gives respect to the quirks and differences of individuals therefore respecting these differences as strengths.
Personality, like most core Psychology subjects, is difficult to define. Personality is essentially the science of describing and understanding people. No two people are the same; even identical twins will tell you that they are very different to their identical counterpart. There are some who are anxious and there are those who are risk-takers. There are some who are carefree while there are those who are highly-strung and there are those who are over-confident while some are just plain shy. It is this issue of differences that are fundamental to the study and examination of personality.
However with advantages come disadvantages. For example, with correlational studies there is no background information obtained. Therefore, the reliability of the correlational studies is questioned.

ISFJ personality type tend to let opportunities pass, not willing to apply themselves. I feel if I do this because I do not have the confidence, almost as if I'm not good enough. More than the average person I have to tell myself I am capable just like anyone else, almost as if I have to mentally push myself. The INFJ personality is known to be the world rarest personality type and often misunderstood. This type stand for a percentage of less than 2% of the overall world population according to Holm (2009), the majority of that percentage being female and some famous INFJ that can be named are Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa. My INFJ in academic and business milieu: from the past week assignment, my preferred four letters chosen base on the instructions received from Myers-Briggs type indicator were INFJ, which stands for Introverting, iNtuiting, Feeling and Judging. For this week assignment I was very surprise after taking the Jungian test to discover that my personality type fours letter were confirmed to be the same INFJ. Having my conformed INFJ profile means that in business milieu, my creativity and sense of responsibility come in first. Although as an INFJ I’m strongly introverted, I nevertheless highly care about my relationship with other individuals. At work I’m open to communication and always available when it comes to help colleagues to carry out on tasks or explaining work procedures. However, my personality type also implies that I can have sudden need for personal time away from others, which is my way to recharge and regain my energy. In an academic milieu, I’m more focus on setting and reaching my goals; I get motivated by planning in advance my studying weeks and do a lot of efforts to meet my assignment deadlines. Burton, western & Kowaslki (2015) describes Personality as the enduring patterns of thought, feeling, motivation and behaviour that are expressed in different circumstances. In other words it can be defined as differences in characteristics in a person, including their way of thinking, likes, dislikes, sociability, openness, feelings and behaviour, which make them the person they are and differentiates them from others. All these traits when brought together is known to be the personality of that particular person.
Over the last 100 years, the underpinning concepts in the fields of psychology and counseling were wrought. Within this period, these concepts have transformed and evolved from somewhat crude conceptions of the psyche toward more holistic interventions and approaches. As the profession continues to move forward, adaptations of the original theorists regarding the nature of man and the development of personality continue to emerge. These adaptations, along with the integration of new concepts and ideas, continue to contribute to the field. The purpose of this paper is to discuss characteristics of my personality. The main focus of this paper will be how my personality has developed over time. As I age and encounter new and different experiences, my personality has adapted and developed further. This paper will give an in-depth exploration into the people and events that have influenced my personality.
Some key personality concepts that define who I am is introvert, intuitive, intuitive feeling, and judging. Introverted intuition allows me to appreciate a better clarity of perception of inner unconscious techniques. It allows me to act spontaneously and insightful as original resolutions present themselves, on a case by case basis. Basically this means that I follow my intuition and not how I may sense something.
I have to admit that I was skeptical in completing the personality profile. I thought, “How could a few questions determine everything about my management style”. When I received my results, I was astonished at how accurately those results portrayed my personality. While deciding which of my personality traits were advantageous and which were detrimental to my management style, I became conflicted as all of my scores can be portrayed as both positive and negative depending on the situation.

There are a total sixteen different personalities that are composed of four dichotomies; Extraversion and Introversion, Sensing and Intuition, Thinking and Feeling, Judging and Perceiving. Each personality type is defined as a four letter acronym for each of the for different pairs. Each personality type yields information based on how the person thinks, feels, and behaves.
