I would vote for Joe Biden for president, if he does decide to run. There are multiple reasons that Joe Biden is the best candidate for the 2016 presidential election. One huge reason that Joe Biden is an amazing candidate is because he has ample experience in politics, and law. He went to law school and became an attorney before politics, so he will understand laws and be able to make smart educated decisions on problems. Joe Biden also ran for president before so he knows what it takes to win, and he knows what mistakes he made, so he can fix them. He was the U.S. senator for Delaware for 36 years, and he has been the vice president for the last 6 years. This gives him a lot of time and experience dealing with politics, so he will be able …show more content…
I agree with most of what Joe Biden believes in and know he will make smart educated decisions for our country. Many of his views that I agree with are on education. Joe Biden said that schools should hire more teachers and have smaller classes. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, because as a student I can say it is much easier to learn in smaller classes. In addition to wanting smaller classes Joe Biden thinks 500 million dollars should be given to support business partnerships at community colleges. This is incredibly important because it will give kids who are at community colleges more opportunities to make a better career for themselves. Looking at the other candidates it is clear that they do not have the same views as Joe Biden. Ben Carson said that private schools are better than public schools. That is upsetting because many people can not afford private schools and should not feel bad if they can not. I also agree with Joe Biden’s beliefs on foreign policy. He said that “it is time to sit down, and talk, talk to the enemy”. He also said that with open dialogue there could be less of a conflict with China. These are smart comments to try to stop wars. All in all I agree with Joe Biden’s view on most topics, so I believe he would be an amazing president and make exceptional decisions to help the
Ms. Floyd and fellow classmates, my essay will illustrate how the art of rhetoric can spark a movement and bring change to our nation. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was famous for his inspirational speeches that showcased the epitome of rhetoric and solidified his place in history of being the most influential civil rights leader. One of those speeches, MLK’s “Give Us the Ballot”, energized the civil rights movement on May 17th, 1957. He was driven to action ever since the Supreme Court had ruled that segregation of schools was against the 14th constitutional amendment. This was a huge step forward for civil rights. Unfortunately, the states choose to ignore this landmark decision and the federal government turned a blind eye. This
John McCain has had a long and outstanding career in the political world and has all the qualifications it takes to be the President of the United States. Though some people would argue that he’s not fit for the job because of his age and health. Because of the lack of participants voting in this years election, due to the candidate running, I believe Senator John McCain would be an exceptional President due to his political experience, military background, his diplomatic services and because he is a well respected war
Biden is well-liked by nearly everyone in Washington and his supportive role in the Obama administration has helped his stature. He’s seen as an authentic and funny guy. While Biden makes a great Onion headline and uncle, his vulnerabilities make him not a great candidate for president. Biden’s previous presidential campaigns have been terribly executed. In 1988, Biden plagiarized speeches from a British politician, destroying any chance of a successful campaign. Biden ran for president in 2008 as well, earning less than one percent of the vote in Iowa. Biden’s foreign policy and national security record is slim at best. Obama’s first secretary of defense wrote that he found him nearly always wrong on issues of foreign policy and national security. Despite recent drop in polling numbers, over 75 percent of Democrats support Hillary. She’s garnered more endorsements at this stage of the election than any modern era. She’s raised 68 million dollars. Biden doesn’t have a significant advantage over Hillary in the general election. If voters are tired of Obama and Democrats, they’re tired of Biden as well. His age is also a hinderance as well. While Americans aren’t concerned about a 72-year old executing the duties of vice president, most don’t know what a vice president does. Biden would be 74 on the date of his potential inauguration. Reagan was nearly 70. If for some reason Clinton bombs out of the race, Biden is the candidate with the best odds. But until then, the odds of him winning the Democratic nomination aren’t good enough for him to
Elizabeth Proctor and I “If you think I am one, then I say there are none”, this quote was said by Elizabeth Proctor. Elizabeth said this when she was accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials. Although Elizabeth was accused of witchcraft she was not hung. Elizabeth and I have very similar personality traits such as honest, unforgiving, and loyal.
Marco Rubio is the Republican counterpart to 2008 Barack Obama, just without the elegance or needed ideology. He is a handsome minority, who is well spoken, and has a beautiful, young family. He appears to be an adequate choice for the nomination, as he has centrist enough views to interest some independents, while also having some of the requisite crazy to entice the party’s base. Rubio is also from Florida, which could help in turning an essential swing state red. A shortcoming for Marco Rubio is that he has recently decided that he is a Senator in name only, forgoing actually attending Senate votes and hearings, except on payday. Rubio, needing plenty of oil to style his hair, has one of the worst environmental records in the Senate, which
A vote for Bernie Sanders is a vote for free education, reasonably paying jobs, and universal healthcare. [I need to add another sentence right here]. There are many reasons why Bernie Sanders is the best candidate for president based on his policies on college, jobs, and healthcare.
the other nominees are very much capable of holding this position, and have many great ideas that could benefit this great country immensely, I still ask that you hear me out in why Even Mcmullin would be a worthy candidate in this race. Although no opinion is superior to another I still appreciate that you have taken time out of your day to listen to mine. I believe that no single opinion should be considered right or wrong when it comes to politics, and I respect all parties opinions. In my personal opinion, I think that each party has a lot of things that stand out, and that is why McMullin would make a great candidate for presidency. He takes a lot of great ideas from both parties, and makes them all unique in his own way, which makes
Imagine a nation brimming with smiling workers and a swelling economy. Doesn’t that seem like somewhere you would want to live? Well you can; if you support me, Ty Goldin, a member of the Populist Party, we can make this idea come to life. Face it; America is declining before your eyes. The plight of America is characterized by the tough times for farmers to survive, the complete domination of the American economy by massive corporations, and the extremely poor treatment of the average worker. I will help fight these horrible circumstances and make America the ultimate ideal nation.
The 2016 Presidential Campaign candidate, Bernie Sanders, believes in creating a better America. In proving to the American people, rich and poor, how great the country can be if all people vote for who is trusted best as future President of the United States. The political figures in government care about money and wealth, not the people. Bernard Sanders would be the best choice for President for the main reason that he is concerned about the issues in America that create inequality for the people. The issues addressed by this candidate will create social and economic equality.
No one is perfect. Everyone grows up in their own unique way. Adults are supposed to demonstrate to children how to be polite and live in the real world. With a doubt, a child’s parents have the most substantial impact on their future. Most parents love their kids and raise them with positivity so they can grow up to be better than them.
elected position. A few years later in 2006, Booker won the election for Mayor of Newark. In 2013, Booker was elected senator of New Jersey. Since then Booker has been a highly vocal and devoted senator. He is dedicated to fighting for his beliefs and serving his constituency. Although Cory Booker would make an excellent president, there are a few things I would advise him on before starting his campaign.
I chose Bernie sanders as the candidate that I would vote for. A couple of issues that I care about that Sanders also stands for are healthcare for all and same-sex marriage. Sanders position on everyone being able to have healthcare is supportive. In an interview with Ezra Klein of Vox, Sanders responded with, “Health care, to my mind, is a right of all people. That's what I believe. I think every man, woman, and child is entitled to health care”(1). He believes that healthcare should not be something that we have to qualify and fight for but that it should be our right to have good healthcare. He made a point by saying that despite having the affordable care act, we still have so many people that are still uninsured and underinsured while our country is paying almost double what any other nation faces (2). Sanders is for healthcare for all because he believes it’s our right to it despite our income and not be discriminated against for reasons such as our gender or previous health issues. He believes we shouldn’t be discriminated against just because we might have had a health issue that the insurance companies consider a higher risk of needing help later, which would mean
This will ultimately lead to a larger voter turnout across the nation, specifically in traditionally conservative or liberal states.
The names “Old Testament” and “New Testament” are inherently theological in nature. Because there is a difference distinctly built into giving them different notations, it implies that there are differences between each the Old Testament and the New Testament, whether it is subtle in nature or obvious in nature. To Christians, the difference means that the Old Testament contains dealings between God and the world and even some of the rules made are made irrelevant by the interactions of Christ Jesus with the world. One of the differences between the New Testament and the Old Testament is the way each of the Testaments describe God and God’s nature. The Old Testament describes an angry God, one who only created the world and was obsessed with laws and rules. The New Testament describes a loving God who redeemed the world. The different ways the Old Testament and New Testament describe God and his nature are very much influenced by their perspective of God. By the rules, actions, and laws God made, the early writers of the Old Testament made their judgements about God and wrote those perspectives into the books of the Old Testament. The writers of the Old Testament did the best they could with the information they had and got some things about God right, but also got things wrong. The writers of the New Testament and therefore, Christian believers understand God better.
Political campaigns are very significant in American politics and elections. It is the period before the electorate makes political decisions in the form of elections. The attention of the citizens towards politics intensifies as the date of the elections draws near. The salience of voters improves as the election date draws near and could manifest in the form of increased media attention. Political discussions, campaign interest, strength of the intention to vote, and knowledge about the candidates are other manifestations of increased salience of voters. Another indication of improved intensity is the effort put by the candidates and their political parties in the campaigns. Parties increase their efforts in the
