The Evolution Of Climate Change

Decent Essays

Since the beginning of time, climate change has occurred. Everything changes in this world. This theory is explained by Charles Darwin in a process called evolution. Climate is changing, and some people don’t care too much about it. It could be for the good but it could also be bad. Climate change is a very important issue as it could lead to the destruction of our planet.
It is a proven fact that climate has been changing on this Earth. No scientist would disagree with this fact. In the past, it was a little difficult to see the climate change or how it was caused. We now have the scientific advances to see the evidence, and the facts don’t lie. In the past 650,000 years, atmospheric carbon dioxide has never been above 300 million parts. In less than one hundred years, it has now passed the 300 million mark and went on to 400 million parts. So much change has happened in such a short period of time. Another example or piece of evidence is the level of the seas are rising. According to NASA, the global sea level has risen seventeen centimeters in the past century. This is in fact a really frightening fact. Global warming is a great example of climate change. The global temperature is getting higher and higher every century. …show more content…

We are expanding and increasing the “greenhouse effect”. It can be caused by cellular respiration as well as volcanic eruptions. Humans do activities such as deforestation. We also burn fossil fuels like coal and oil for our everyday purposes. When we burn these fossil fuels, we release carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide in the air trap the heat that the sun is sending towards the Earth. The heat is trapped thus making the Earth warmer. Water vapor is the most abundant of the greenhouse gases. As temperature increases, so does water vapor. More water vapor would mean more clouds and more
