Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you should consider running. Running uses every muscle in your body because you are engaging every aspect of yourself in the activity. Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your workout. Running is not just about getting in shape and staying shape; but running involves many fun activities and sports.

The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of running for every four minutes of walking. Gradually increase your running time, so that eventually you will be running for twice the amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a good “beginners” workout. You start by jogging for one minute, then walking for one minute, then you should increase the time by one minute each time until you are running for five minutes and walking for five minutes.
