I want you to think about this for a second, has anyone ever stopped to help you when you were in need? Now, this may be someone who is related to you, someone who is not, or maybe you’ve never really needed help from anyone. Regardless of who came to mind, anyone, including you, is capable of volunteering and giving back to the community. Volunteering in your community is notably beneficial to everyone. If you enjoy making people smile and improving your own health conditions, volunteering is right down your alley. I have been volunteering off and on at Providence Assisted Living in New Albany for just over a year now, and I never regret spending my day there. Volunteering is beneficial because it allows you to learn new skills, meet new people, and improve your school and/or job application, and that’s only a few reasons.
To start us off, volunteering is needed at many places all over the state, country, and even the world. Whether you want to groom dogs, feed the homeless, spend time with elders, or throw a party for children, volunteering is not limited to one task.
