Abortion and Miscarriage
There are strong opinions when it comes to the subject of abortion and miscarriage. Everybody regardless can agree both are horrible unfortunate things. Life has moments that help define a person and shape them to who they will become. No matter what either one a person might go to it will stay with that person for the rest of their life. Abortion is a decision by the parent or parents but a miscarriage, nobody has a say in that. Everything happens for a reason. Abortion is one of the hardest decisions people can make it will. It is a decision that will mold your future for what it will become. A person who chooses to go that route isn't because they don’t want a child but because they are not ready emotionally or financially. Mistakes do happen every so often so I believe it is the best decision for a person if they are not ready just as long as there is no heart beat yet. It will be on your mind for the rest of your life but if you made the decision with 100% certainty it might just be a tad bit easier to live with. At the end of the day you have to look at the mirror every day and live with what you did. Parents who have to go through a miscarriage in my opinion have a worst recovery rate then parents who had abortions. They wanted the baby but in an unusual circumstance didn’t get to see themselves take the baby home. They have to deal with telling the family, the extra baby stuff they won't be
In “No reason brown girls can save the world,” Leonard Pitts uses pathos to convince his audience that representation within the media is crucial for empowering all types of people. In the article, Pitts tells the story of all the different reactions to Ms. Marvel, the show about a young first generation Pakistani girl who randomly becomes a superhero. Most of the article gets readers to empathize with Malala and the thousands of other Pakistani girls who have had no representation until this show, these people feel that “It’s as if, on some level, you don’t exist”. Or at the very least, you don’t matter. If you did, wouldn’t they see you there?
A relative of mine had an abortion at a young age and it changed her life forever. Now as a mother to her children she always thinks of the child she would've had and who would be forever missing. Although many people are against abortion, it's is up to the women, like my aunt to decide the best option for her and her future.
Abortion has been a very controversial issue in the United States for the past several decades. Many people think that is it morally wrong. To say that something is morally wrong is an opinion. Since everyone’s opinions are different on this topic there have been many court cases and protests against abortion. However there are a lot of people out there that believe that abortion is a rightful decision. My personal opinion on the abortion controversy is that every woman should have the choice on whether or not they are ready or are capable of raising a baby. Although there are many different choices one can make with regard to whether or not they are ready to raise a child, like adoption, it is still ultimately the woman’s decision on what they want to do. Carrying a child is a very stressful and sometimes painful process. There are a lot of financial decisions, health decisions, and future decisions that have to be carefully thought out before becoming a parent. Parenthood is a life-altering step one must take in life, and abortion is one way that a women can postpone or avoid changing their life in a very extreme way.
Abortion in America is a hot topic in today’s society. With 1.21 million abortions in 2013 (Pro Life Action League), many people are starting to question if abortion should be outlawed. In 1973, the supreme court issued that banning abortion took away a woman’s right to life, liberty, and property (Pro Life Action League). This ban overlooks the fact of taking away another human’s right to life, liberty, and property; that human, is the fetus growing inside of the mother who aborts it. Abortion should be outlawed in America because it kills innocent human beings, frees people from taking responsibility for their own actions, and because there are other options to not having to raise a child.
It is understandable how people can disagree with abortion. Babies are miracles in themselves and any parent knows that. However, we are only human, and we all have the right to choose how we live. If having a child would only make one?s life worse, then giving birth may not be the answer. Though abortion may seem unfortunate, it may all be for the better. Therefore, people must open their minds a little to accept this. Abortion is a serious subject, and anyone who considers it must be rational, and
Abortion is one of the most controversial topics in America today. Throughout history, many people have had violent confrontations and even lost their life over the matter of one’s opinion on abortion and weather or not they are pro-life or pro-choie. The fight between supporters of these two groups has been long and brutal, and is one that gained a large audience in 1973 with the Roe vs. Wade supreme court case. That same fight continues today and is one that will always be a controversial topic. This controversy is important because, despite what society may believe, abortion is neither right nor wrong. The topic of abortion in the United States is the matter of a personal opinion, and there is no one “right” belief to have because both
Abortion is one of the most controversial topics around the world. In my opinion, the reason why terminating a pregnancy is such a controversial topic is because so many people think abortion is one of the worse things you can do because of their religious beliefs or for their own personal reasons. My feelings about a woman, young or old, getting an abortion is very neutral because even though every woman have a right to do what they feel is best for themselves and for their fetus some young girls get abortions and never learn anything from that experience. Ultimately, it is never easy for a woman to make a decision about terminating a pregnancy, especially when so many people frown down upon it.
While approximately 50% of females are affected at an older age and can’t have babies any more. This risky method, can end your life and affect your body later on. If you’re not planning on having babies use protection that could prevent pregnancy. After all, abortion is a dangerous procedure and legal abortion should be eliminated from all states of the United States. A girl named Kathy was pregnant at age 14 she found out during her 20 weeks pregnant, she said that she needed advice before making her choice and has experienced trauma since then. Kathy who experiences abortion regrets making the decision she says, “The decision to abort my child was not a solution to a problem, but the source of many of my problems from then
Should women have the right to choose abortion as a means of terminating a pregnancy, instead of carrying a fetus to full term? Since the US Supreme Court granted women the right to abortion in 1973, the general population has been divided among those that support (pro-choice) and those oppose (pro-life) the ruling. In 2013, 664,435 legal induced abortions were reported to the Centers for Disease Control.(Jatlaoui) By definition, abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Just as terminating the life of another human being is wrong and punishable by law, terminating the life of a fetus is likewise wrong, and should no longer be upheld as a legal method for ending the life of a human being.
Imagine this: a woman learns she is about to become a new mother. Words cannot describe the amount of love and joy she already feels for her soon to be child. She now knows her fetus will depend on her body until it is born. It will need her in order to grow and become healthy enough to survive in the harsh world outside of the womb. But, let us imagine this new mother is a smoker; she now has a decision to make for herself that affects her baby directly. She could continue to smoke and potentially give birth to a baby with complications like birth defects, or she could quit smoking for the sake of her baby’s health and personally manage the side effects accompanying quitting. To most people, her decision should be obvious, especially when
Abortion is a controversial and sensitive problem occurring in today’s society. Multiple people argue constantly whether or not abortion should be allowed. In the United States it is legal to abort a baby up until the day of birth. Some people believe abortion is murder, while others believe it is a free choice of each person. Abortion refers to the termination of a pregnancy by removing or expelling the fetus or embryo from the uterus before it is ready for birth. The United States Supreme Court ratified the legalization of abortion in an effort to make the procedure safer; this was done through the Roe vs. Wade decision of 1973. Throughout many years of American history, abortion has been a very controversial subject. Abortion should be illegal because a fetus is a human being, which means it is murder, and therefore, abortion is a crime. The debate over the legal and ethical viability of abortion has been complicated in defining whether a developing embryo can be equal with human life.
I was pregnant at the age of eighteen. My decision to continue my pregnancy wasn’t an easy one. I knew the odds were against my succeeding at just about anything. Thirteen years have passed and I feel my decision to continue my pregnancy was the right decision. Two of my close friends choose to have abortions around the same time that I choose not to. Like me, they feel they made the right choice. All three of us made the decision that was right for us. Our circumstances were not the same; we came from different backgrounds, had different beliefs, and our available resources both financial and support systems were different. To this day we are very close friends who continue to accept and respect each other’s choices
Abortion is not a good choice because it is destroying something beautiful from happening, it is murder, and it is a way of running away from responsibility. Abortion is a touchy topic, no matter which side is right or wrong. By aborting a baby, that is allowing the parent to take away that child’s life. Even if the women are not ready to be a parent, there are other options out there. Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy and could also be known as an intentional miscarriage. So, when a parent accidentally miscarriages a child, it is sad and depressing. On the other hand, an intentional miscarriage is not sad and is okay. Let the baby live its life, maybe he/she can be more amazing than imagined.
It is such a personal decision and everyone chooses to have abortion for a different reason — some because they is [sic] a health concern, some because they already have children and don't feel like they can be an adequate person to another children [sic], some because they are so young and know they aren't mature enough to parent, some because they learn that the child has a fetal abnormality and can't live beyond gestation...and the list goes on. I think some people are more sympathetic to some of these reasons than others and yet that's not really out [sic] reason — we have to just ensure that women have access to health care and to doctors that can help them make the best choice they
Many women find themselves in situations that leave them with an unwanted pregnancy and abort their baby. The cause of abortion could simply be a birth control failure, from rape or incest, inability to take care of the child, or in most cases, pressure from others. Whatever the case may be, these women have chosen to get rid of their child, without thinking of the consequences after it is done. After a mother chooses to abort her baby, she will be greatly affected psychologically and could possibly change her and her future family’s life forever.
