The Second Amendment from the United States Constitution states: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. According to the Second Amendment it grants U.S. citizens the right to bear arms, but it was written during a very different time when the United States was becoming an independent country from England, establishing a government and creating a constitution for the people. During that time, there were no public safety systems, like the police, and there were no automatic weapons available.

In reaction to the attacks, the European Union imposed harsh laws against law-abiding gun owners, but did nothing to ban motor vechicles afer a single terrorist murdered 86 people with a cargo truck in France in 2016.
In Las Vegas, 22,000 people attended an event that had armed security guards, screened entrants and metal detectors. None of their security measures mattered for the event because the killer was towering far away from the event shooting at the event goers. He was not screened and was out of range of the armed security guards. So the question is, should the venue have had employed trained snipers with long-range, precision rifles and high power night scopes like we do when we have the President or dignitaries from other countries here visiting? Do we treat venues such as this concert with such high security measures like how we would to protect the President of the United States? The answer is no. No one cares enough or wants to spend that kind of money to protect the regular person. In reality, if there where alot of people in a concert, the likely hood of somebody being shot is really high especially if there weren’t any defense mechanisms in place.
