Recently there has been a bill that would allow the use of taxpayers money to fund both therapeutic and reproductive cloning research of all humans and animals. Many people have suffered accidental medical tragedies during their lifetime. Read about a girl who needs a kidney, a burn victim, a man who lost his leg due to cancer. All of these victims favor cloning and want science to proceed. This is why I want you, Andy Vidak to vote yes on the bill for cloning. Cloning really does help those people who suffered from medical tragedies. Cloning can change many lives, if we do proceed, cloning may be able to cure cancer if cloning if cloning leads to a better understanding of cell differentiation. Rumors say cloning may also lead to a cure for heart attacks, a revolution in cosmetic surgery, organs for organ transplantation, and predictions abound about how cloning technology will save thousands of lives. Many can benefit from this bill and will save many lives. In result people are willing to let cloning continue for those who really need it. There are many reasons on why you should vote yes on cloning. For example, there is a couple who have been married for over four years and decide they really want to have a baby together. After one whole year this couple simply cannot have a baby on their own. This is where cloning comes in to help this couple in need. Human cloning provides genetically related children for those who cannot be helped by other fertility treatments. Couples who can not produce eggs or sperm favor human cloning or even parents of a child who has died seek redress for their loss look at human cloning for help. Cloning is able to help parents who cannot have a baby, have one.cloning is not just used for curing diseases but can also cure someone who has has been depressed because they cannot have a child of their own or they have lost a loved one to soon. Cloning can help people in many different ways. Another good reason why you should vote yes on the bill for cloning. Cloning can also make a person's lifetime much longer than usual. Humans cloning essentially means taking a human beings DNA and reserving its age back to zero. This means with the power of cloning people have the ability to
Every vote counts I believe that the only supporters of therapeutic and reproductive cloning are the people that have a lot of money. It will take years before the U.S. could actually find a safe type of cloning on humans. Imagine how many animals die or suffer from injuries because they are being tested on. Animal cruelty is another reason why I think you and others should vote against cloning “Despite years of research, more than 95 percent of cloning attempts fail, a significant number of cloned animals, as well as surrogate mothers who carry clone pregnancies, suffer serious and painful diseases and deformities to produce each ‘successful’ clone” (“Animal...”).
Some people actually say that we can benefit from cloning. Scientists think that we can clone “geniuses” and advance in society (Utah Genetics). This brings up a very good point. What if we can clone 5 Albert Einsteins?! What if we clone all of the smartest minds to ever exist. Can we cure cancer? I think we can! Maybe we can even stop ebola. Lots of people are seriously thinking about this and how beneficial it would be. But some people can take this out of hand. Some scientists are considering making “human farms” where clones are made and their only purpose is to kill them and take their organs to sell. This is why cloning should not be easily accessible. Some freaky scientists are actually considering this idea. We need to be smarter, we need to be consistent , and we need to keep an eye out for these crazy scientists. And God knows what other crazy idea they have inside their heads. But many people think that cloning can be beneficial to society if it is used
Jurassic World was a jaw-dropping movie; however, in reality, cloning can have much more significant applications than simply making a dinosaur zoo. Ever since biologists have taken an interest in cloning in the late 1800's, many findings has progressed our knowledge about cloning. In 1996, Dolly the Sheep was the first mammal to ever be cloned. It has been 17 years since that scientific discovery; biologists have now made further findings. Researchers have now transferred their technique to the cloning of human cells. This scientific breakthrough will bring new perspectives and advance our understanding of the world. I believe that you should support cloning because it has the potential to create medical miracles, help those who would wish
There are some people that have been very anxious with cloning because they believe it is something new, but in reality it was introduced in the 1950s. It started with cloning food and has moved onto cloning animals. It has been successful on many different cases and a famous one is the cloning of a sheep named Dolly. Dolly lived to be six and a half years old and she had six kids. People believe that cloning should be illegal but we believe that scientists should clone endangered or extinct species in order to preserve them, here’s why.
What was once thought to be the content of fiction novels and comic books is now being fully explored and realized in the cutting edge world of modern science. Scientists now possess the necessary capabilities and technology to make the process of human cloning a reality. While this is a controversial and rather sensitive topic, cloning is an innovative practice that has the potential to vastly improve the lives of unlimited amounts of people. Although cloning may prove to be a useful remedy for many of today’s issues, there are those in the scientific and medical fields who remain vehemently opposed to its practice. It is for this reason that lawmakers, scientists, and doctors around the world are currently locked in a fierce standoff
It seems to be as if cloning is the new topic society can not stop talking about. Some people do not know what it is or they confuse the difference between the different type of cloning. There are two types of cloning therapeutic and reproductive cloning and there is a big difference between the both. Reproductive cloning is cloning a whole new organism while therapeutic cloning focuses on cloning an organ such as a heart, a kidney, a liver, and so on. Cloning of a body part is extremely helpful and essential to the survival of the human race. Cloning body parts also known as therapeutic cloning is the key to live a longer happy life because this procedure creates vital organs that can help people from suffering, it prevents other diseases, and it is much safer than reproductive cloning.
According to Gary Wickman, Human cloning can give rise to certain medical issues. Technically, human gene grows older with age. It’s feared that the cloned individual would retain the age of the donor’s genes. Imagine what will happen if a 40 year old gene is manifested into a newborn baby (Wickman, 2017). The health risks involved with human cloning is something that cannot be sidelined on all accounts. There is a possibility that the cloned individual might carry certain abnormalities, and may die sooner than the standard life expectancy.
Today’s technology develops so quickly that many impossible things become true; the example is cloning technology. Cloning is a process used to create an exact copy of a mammal by using the complete genetic material of a regular body cell. Different from the common propagate, cloning needs only one cell and without sex. Cloning, as of recent years, has become a very controversial issue in society but cloning can have several positive effects for the well being of society. Many people in society believe that scientists should develop a clone human but many people and especially the government are against human cloning. Hundreds of
There should be no room to clone any human being nor animal. There is so much more to find out about our world then to test the non-achieved and inefficient process of cloning. Therefore I am against any type of cloning, whether therapeutic or reproductive. Andy vidak I write to you this letter, to give you a better understanding of why funding for cloning would set us back as a society. Genuinely I care about our future because I want our generation to be known as the one who did brilliant things. The excuse that cloning can potentially result in medical breakthrough is unacceptable because, like president George W. Bush said in his 2002 speech about human cloning, “We can pursue medical research with a clear sense of moral purpose.” (Office of the Press Secretary par. 12). Research cloning would contradict the most underlying principle of medical ethics, that no human life should be exploited for the convenience of another. For that reason I stand by
Dear, Governor Jerry Brown, I am writing to to you because I have noticed a new bill come up and it's about cloning. I believe that we should not pass this bill, we should stop it, and it shouldn't have became a bill in the first place. I think we should stop funding cloning and should stop treating it like it's the right thing to do. We should not as a state, pass this law. Why? Well because thats a waste of taxpayer money. We can fund other nessicasity, like better school and education. We can fund things that are relevant instead of something that barely anyone can afford. Cloning is useless and the only good thing about it, is that we can learn more science from it. Another reason why you should not pass it, the scientist can use it the wrong way. The scientist who work on cloning can make some sort of superhuman or super animal with hybrid genetics, and where they are so superior we can't defeat it, and there goes the worlds then we are in a apocalypse. And for my last reason on why you should not pass this bill, it's not life like, if something's passes away then it passes away, no need to bring it back, and it may even suffer more after it does come back.
People base their arguments concerning cloning off of norms, and with that, they ignore the possible benefits of this technology. Cloning technology may possibly benefit us in a lot of ways. It could potentially be used to reverse heart attacks, infertility, treat defective genes, and treat brain damage such as Alzheimer and Parkinson. With all the benefits behind this technology, reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning should be legalized for research, experiments, and future use.
I would like to introduce myself as Brian Sierra. I am a junior at Dinuba High School in California. A new bill just came up and it allows the use of taxpayer money to found both therapeutic and reproductive cloning research of all animals and humans. I am going to tell you all the advantages and all the good stuff we could do with both ways of reproduction. I want to tell you that I am approving this subject because reproductive and therapeutic cloning would really benefit a lot of people’s life. Even though a lot of people are against both ways of cloning. They just talk about the disadvantages and the problems that is has. Cloning could be used in a good way and I am going to tell you the advantages and all the good stuff we could do with both ways of cloning.
Science today is developing at warp speed. We have the capability to do many things, which include the cloning of actual humans! First you may ask what a clone is? A clone is a group of cells or organisms, which are genetically identical, and have all been produced from the same original cell. There are three main types of cloning, two of which aim to produce live cloned offspring and one, which simply aims to produce stem cells and then human organs. These three are: reproductive cloning, embryo cloning and therapeutic cloning. The goal of therapeutic cloning is to produce a healthy copy of a sick person's tissue or organ for transplant, and the goal of both reproductive cloning and embryo cloning is to
Many ethical and moral dilemmas arise when discussing human cloning, and one can have many positions for and against each. To understand the issues surrounding human cloning, one must have a basic
Scientific experimentation has led us to many great discoveries such as: Chemotherapy, heart surgery, and bone marrow transplants. Recently scientists have discovered a new way to heal humans. This is known as cloning. Although they have yet to clone a human they have cloned sheep. Cloning has brought up a huge controversy among the American people. There are two sides to the story. Either you agree with cloning or you don’t. The only way to help make that decision is to look at the good and bad points of cloning.
