Do you ever wonder what cupcakes taste like with oil instead of water, well it does not taste good. It was a hot summer day and I thought, if i didn’t need water to make brownies then I didn’t need water for cupcakes …...well that was a BAD idea! I am going to tell you about times I had made some very bad mistakes while baking! It is not as easy as it looks in TV shows and YouTube videos! So I hope that since you are reading this, that you can learn from my mistakes.
Are you ever so hungry that you can eat anything, well that was how I felt and I decided to take matters to my own and make up a recipe by myself, and that did not turn out the way I wanted it to…. It was in the summer of 2017 when I was very bored, and when I am very bored that is when I like to watch YouTube videos. Well when I was scrolling through my recommended list I had found a video about making cupcakes, and it looked very easy to make, so I decided “Why not make it”? So long story short, I was in my kitchen with my sister and we were both very new to baking. Therefore my sister and I had no idea what we were doing! I was making the batter and since I had never made cupcakes from a recipe before, I decided to double the recipe but I didn’t know that you had to double everything so I only doubled the 1 cup of salt and sugar.While we were making the batter my sister put food coloring into the cupcakes so it would look “ Beautiful” but in reality it just looked like burnt
Junk food is one of the main causes of obesity in America.It contains things that have unhealthy ingredients that could lead to illnesses in the future if a person consumes a large amount of junk food.But there are ways to eat junk food and still be healthy while enjoying your favorite junk foods . Over the years there has been a lot of history behind junk food and the effects of it. Some of these historical findings have started leading people to understand that the amount of junk food that they consume is something that is very important for the health.Usually a person who is young that consumes a large amount of junk food may see an increase in obesity cholesterol and high blood pressure. For a person who is older such as in their 30s and 40s they may then see those things as well plus other illnesses that could lead to things such as high blood pressure and heart disease .To avoid an unhealthy lifestyle in the future something that might be questioned. Is it possible to live a healthy lifestyle while still enjoying junk foods?
If you had to choose in between skittles or and apple right now what would you choice? I would choses Skittles even though I know they are bad for me. That’s one reason I think changing food policies would influence people's food choices than just education.
Each parent feels the need to give their kids an extraordinary birthday party. Rashid needed to give his son, Luce, an incredible third birthday by setting up a Cookie Monster themed party. School lunch: Do we eat what we pay for? Lunch is a very important time for students all over the world. It is the time when all the students talk about what has been going on in their lives as well as what they plan to do in the future. It is also the time when they complain about how bad the quality of the cafeteria food is and how expensive it is.
There is much controversy over school lunches at PCEP, our sample of the students was almost divided on the issue. In a survey of 80 students attending PCEP lasting from Monday to Thursday, we found 35 Students (44%) bought school lunches. On the other end, 42 students brought lunch (52%). We also found 1 person (1%) did not eat lunch and 2 (3%) said they only eat lunch sometimes. Overall, the majority of student brought lunch.
Cooking the cake was a challenge because I had to put two pans in at a time and there was five or six pans.

Coming from the South, Biscuits and Gravy have been my favorite breakfast meal ever since my baby years. All Sothern’s behave themselves in a casual way when it comes to biscuits and gravy. Growing up, my love of Biscuits and Gravy was big, and still is, in local restaurants throughout my hometown in Jonesboro, Arkansas. We’ve had well-known restaurants, such as Cracker Barrel, Dixie Café and Gina’s Place, that are well known for their breakfast meals and sandwiches that collect worthy business. Secondly, students do not even bother to get school lunch is because the lunch lines are so long. It would be much easier for a student to buy food from vending machines, student store, or from other students selling food. Most of these easier access food are very unhealthy for the body, “...average american consumes 44.7 gallons of soft drinks” (Bad Food? Tax It, and Subsidize Vegetables, p.6). In general students do not enjoy waiting, they rather go “ straight to the pizza line then wait in the long lines for a better option” ( survey, question 2).
When I was gradually adding sugar to the egg mixture as the recipe said, I was worried it wouldn’t mix properly and I would be stuck with a soupy mix littered with organic cane sugar granules. Adding the food coloring was a battle of convincing myself that the gel coloring wasn’t liquid enough to ruin my hard work and that I wouldn’t end up with ugly brown lumps of sugar. Piping out the meringues was no easier, I was worried that I had made them too big or too small and that the variation in size would affect the baking time and temperature. It’s unnerving to be on edge all of the time, and while everything ended up fine I’ll probably have the same thoughts running through my head next time I bake.
Although the recipe did not have instructions on how to make the lemon curd it was a simple process of lemon juice, an egg, granulated sugar, a stick of butter and lemon zest over a simmer of 6 minutes in a small pot and an extra 20-30 minutes for the curd to cool down. As soon as that was finished I moved onto my vanilla sponge cake. I grabbed all my ingredients that consisted of eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, self rising flour, butter and confectioners sugar. I sifted in my sugar and added my eggs and beat it with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes then added a few drops of vanilla extract. I sifted in the flour and completed mixing everything together. I buttered my pan and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. The ban of peanuts is not the best way to control the problem of students who are allergic being exposed to them in school. You see if we ban peanuts thats means that are making false saved and when there is a allergic brake out we can't do any thing because of false saved kids were hart because of it. there should be two room kids that are a allergic go in one room and the kids who are not allergic go in another room that will keep the kids save and if the what to come in you must wash your hands but in case of and allergic brake we should have a box of epipen to help the kid and if the dare though a peanut gas of a strong oder and git chont there is a fine of 200$ U.S dollars.
It’s obvious that the mistake I made taught me a very useful lesson that day—never try to boil eggs in the microwave.
Baking is a skill that I have always been eager to learn. This past summer, I learned that I am unfortunately, intolerant to dairy and have a gluten sensitivity. Most places do not offer gluten-free and dairy-free options so it has been difficult for me to find baked goods that I am able to eat. I have been meaning to learn some recipes that I can bake and eat that work with my dietary needs. Many of the vegan and gluten-free chocolate cakes that I have tried so far have been very good, and is something that I want to try making myself.
