I do not like being told what to do - even if it is coming from someone who loves me. I would rather fear my shadow of failure than constantly being uttered at for doing something I do not want to do. While reading Into the Wild, authored by Jon Krakauer, I became connected with Alex in ways we both loathe conforming to society's ways. Like Alex, I feel absent in my own life because I am always trying to live up to someone else's expectations. Without warning, Alex fled his home and society to live the way he wanted. Alex might have died while trying his new way of life, but he never gave in or regretted his decision of leaving. In the face of disillusion with society, I will too abandon all ties with the world; I will not lose sight of my ability to forgive; I will live implicitly with only my best interests in mind; and I will find compassion and satisfaction in my everyday life. While Alex was in school, he was very pressured to do well and work hard, despite his good work ethic he resented the mass burden, that is society. “Chris was born into the wrong century. He was looking for more adventure and freedom than today’s society gives people” (Krakauer 174). I can relate to Alex on many levels; parents telling me what colleges to attend, who I can be friends with and many more that make me scorn society. I have a very good relationship with my parents, but there are times when I just do not agree with what they have planned for me. I would like to say I do not conform to society, but that would be a lie; I buy clothing, makeup, and electronics, materialistic goods that everyone else has, to feel like I belong. And that is exactly what Alex hated, he was not a materialistic kind of guy, which made him spite all things that are unnecessary. I am not saying that I agree with Alex and his decision to leave his life behind, but occasionally the thought is appealing and it evokes a question on whether or not it is a superlative idea. In spite of Alex leaving home and not informing his family, he was fairly close with his family especially his younger sister, Carine. This reminds me of how close I am with my older sister, Mckenna. She moved to Florida in January to go to art school, and although I still got
Miscommunication is the source of the worlds major problems. Change can only occur after both parties have an open conversation. If one party is unable to advocate for themselves, they're placed in extreme danger. You wouldn't utilize manipulation to jeopardize a baby's life. The same logic should apply to Elephants.
It is often noted that one can never truly understand the beauty of life until they go and experience it. This idea parallels with getting to know who they really are and figuring out what their purpose in life genuinely is, which not many people cannot comprehend. Everyone has different fears, desires, and feelings, but not until you live a life of new experiences do you harness your true self. Growing through experiences and connecting with nature allows someone to more deeply reflect on their individual purpose on Earth and discover their own definition of happiness. Henry David Thoreau comments on this even further by proposing that the disconnection from a society in which we are comfortable is the only way to cultivate an understanding of ourselves. Chris McCandless sets out on an adventure in a life absent of routine to push his boundaries and prove that he could make it on his own, finding the meaning of life in the process. Henry David Thoreau’s statement “Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves”, is correct, as evidenced by Jon Krakauer’s novel Into the Wild.
Understanding oneself is one of the most important factors in living a free life, and living on the road can be a big part of this process. In the novel, Into The Wild, Jon Krakauer writes about a boy who ventures into the wilderness and inevitably learns more about himself on a journey right before he dies. In order to avoid his problematic family, Chris McCandless journeys into danger where he meets people who help him learn more about the world. Although he does eventually meet his end in Alaska, he leaves the world without worries or regrets. By living on the road and in nature, Mccandless is able to live the life that he wants and be free from the clutches of society. While living on the road can prove fatal, it allows a person to find themselves and avoid the problems of society; therefore, people should look to nature in order to better understand themselves.
For someone to be on the road, people usually assume that they have lost hope in life, or that they were not that determine to maintain a place in our social class. Those who decided to live on the road do it for a different reason, reason that are either a push or pull factor. Someone who has helicopter parents, or having a difficult time trying to fit into society can find a reason to venture out and find self. Someone who felt like they no longer have a purpose in life, can find it by going on the road, because no one know you better than yourself. When writing a story of your life, do not let anyone else hold the pen. Just like the north star, which helped slaves find their way from slavery and captivity. In order to find true self, risk must be taken. While life on the road can seem like an act of avoidance of reality and problems, it can help someone find a purpose for life and their true self, therefore I believe that life on the road, is helpfully for those who are struggling with problems.
If the entire species is taken off the endangered species list, the Gray Wolf will still be targeted by human predators. The controversy of Gray Wolves being dangerous to the human community is an opinion that needs to be recognised.

The expectations of society at a certain time can determine the opportunities one can have. “Why can't we go to church? … … Why can't you wear black shoes like the other mothers?” In Chocolat, Vianne is rejected by the town due to her not living up to the social rules of the town. This quote demonstrates how society reacts to change that goes against the norm. Others will push an individual away and restrict them until they are deemed acceptable, and this causes the individual to want to fit in, to crave a place in this society, and to belong to it. Once the individual is striving towards finding a place in the society that shut them out, they lose focus on their own
What if I told you there was a way to save so many lives by just keeping one animal off of the roads? There is a serious problem that a lot of people are facing especially late at night. There have been as horrible incidents as to where people have lost their lives. Or in less serious but still devastating incidents peoples cars become completely totaled. You never know you might just be on a late night drive heading down main street to pick your kid up from soccer practice when all of a sudden a deer jumps out from nowhere in front of your car and completely destroys it. That is just talking about damage to the car too. Hitting a deer can also put your life at risk and can cause fatal injuries.
If you have a passion for something in life that not many people think is worth pursuing, then you shouldn’t listen to those people. What is something that makes that person who they are? Everyone has goals and things they want to accomplish. Chris McCandless was a hiker and traveller who gave up everything he had to go and live off the land in the Alaskan Wilderness as well as western parts of America. McCandless had a need for adventure and saw that he didn’t want the materialistic things in life. Unfortunately, four months later: Chris was found dead and extremely emaciated. People who have read Into The Wild, often wonder why a person would do such a thing like McCandless did. Many say it was for the sheer thrill and fulfillment of a
Imagine it’s 30 years in the future, you and your little grandchildren are going to the zoo to see the new and improved Wooly Mammoth. Except it’s not improved, it’s not even a purebred Wooly Mammoth, and its stuck in a cage. Scientist are trying to decide if they should resurrect the Wooly Mammoth, by breeding its embryo with an Asian Elephant. The Wooly Mammoth shouldn't be resurrected because, there is no habitat for them, costs, and is it even logically possible.
Snow leopard Extinction [Intro paragraph] Everyone likes big cats who can jump 9 meters high (30 ft), run as fast as the speed limit, and be as sneaky as a ghost. Well if that’s you, and I know it, is you better read this because they their population is decreasing rapidly and we need your help to stop it. Although the money, pelts, sights, and medicine is good, losing snow leopards for good is not worth it because it is skyrocketing herbivore population, illegal to kill them, and down right disappointing.
Hunting has become a heavily debatd topic in recent years. I believe there must be regulations on hunting Trophy hunting, also called big-game hunting since so many of these animals are inangred. I do not think a endangered animal should ever be hunted. However, if an animal population is healthy, I think hunting is fine as long as people was responsible.
You can guess what I did next, i refreshed my memory to see if i could remember what was on the paper. About five minutes later it had came to me, so I thought of a good name and that was "Black Wild Cat"! My super ability would be to save endangered people without them having to call for help. So, if you are ever in danger don't worry the Black Wild Cat will be to help you before any danger come apon
Did you know that polar bears are endangered? You might be asking “what does endangered mean?” Endangered means that it is threatened or it has a chance of dying. A polar bear is a kind of bear that is the largest carnivorous in the world.
The places we visit throughout our lives can sometimes leave a bigger imprint on us than anything else. The novel, Into The Wild, by Jon Krakauer, displays a man, named Chris McCandless, who selfishly goes into the Alaskan Interior alone. The places he visits and the way he connects with the people and places around him before and during the journey help exemplify who he is.
