The sport that I intend to create is a mix between both soccer and football. The sport, which would be named “Soccer Slam”, would be a great new innovative way to entertain the masses while allowing the masses to be involved in the sport. This game not only has the capability of growing across the country, but because of soccer’s popularity on a global scale it would attract many fans of all types and ages. Before going into the future possibilities for the sport it is more important to understand what this new sport is.

Football is often labeled as a dangerous, unsafe sport, but there are many good things that come along with playing football. In the past two weeks I have learned about the risks that accompany football. Many kids suffer with concussions and face injuries from the sport, which scares many people away. But, despite the risks and the unsafe label, I would allow my child to play football because it promotes health, builds friendships, and helps gain toughness.

On August 6, 1969, a megalomaniac named Charles Manson ordered his “Family” to kill everyone in a house that used to be owned by a well known music recorder named Terry Melcher. However, Malcher was not occupying the house but instead the house was occupied by a renowned movie producer, Roman Polanski, and his wife, actress Sharon Tate. On that date, Manson’s family perpetrated one of the most gruesome crime in Hollywood’s history by stabbing to death Sharon Tate and her friends. Christmas, which is on 25th December every year, is a religious event that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ but it becomes a holiday in many countries, especially western countries where their mainstream religion is Christian. People celebrate Christmas with many traditional rituals, they purchase decorations for houses, gifts giving and have the Christmas dinner with family and friends but the rituals may vary from different countries. Additionally, Christmas is a high consumption season due to the gifts giving culture of traditional activities in western culture and also consumers are offered discounts during the occasion in which Christmas creates ‘the consumption fantasyland’. ‘Consumption satisfices our basic survival needs and the more abstract needs of cultural, social and personal elements that are symbolic of taste, lifestyles and identity’ (Clarke, 2007: 3). This essay will discuss two perspectives, which are classical and cultural perspectives, separately through celebrations that drive consumer behavior before, during Christmas and then in the next section we will discuss about how the market creates and reinforces the fantasyland by the marketing communications for Christmas.

Lionel Messi made his debut appearance for the first team 3 years later at the young age of 16. Although he wasn't always so great, many players and coaches agreed that he could become one of the finest players to ever play the game. In recent years we as a country have seen a huge spike in instances where sports and politics collide. If you take a deeper look back into the history of the United States you see many more examples of different varieties throughout every sport. Most notably one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mohammed Ali, refusing to be drafted to a war he disagreed with and Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball.

Have you ever made the varsity team for your school, but have absolutely no idea how to play with other top athletes in the school because it’s the first time making varsity? If so you’re not alone, playing on a varsity sport generally brings these questions and concerns up. Being on a JV sports team is challenging but once you are on varsity you will discover all of the many challenging differences.
