Recycling is the key to a successful environment for generations to come. When I think about recycling, several synonyms come to mind, like reduce, reuse, reclaim or recover. We need to be promoting recycling of old items and materials at school, work, in restaurants and at home. When we reuse objects or make them new again, the old material is not wasted, and new materials are not being produced. For decades we have been living with toxic waste and contributing to environmental hazards all around us every day. We live in a fast revolving society from needing the newest in technology to purchasing new items whenever we want something. People do not think about the outcomes or possibilities of recycling our disregarded items. The old theory of “out with the old, and in with the new” has been our society’s motto for decades.
Does recycling really make a difference? Recycling can help save our earth and the environment we live in. It will provide a more substantial place to live. Recycling is our future. By recycling items of plastics, aluminum, paper, metal, iron, tin wood and glass bottles we can save on natural resources and produce items from reusable materials.
Argumentatively, there are several main problems and issues why people don’t see the benefits in recycling. Some believe that it is much easier to throw away our unused items in the garbage. Recycling is not convenient and takes too much time in our busy lives. Many will argue they do not understand the environmental benefits to recycling. Others will contribute to the idea that recycling efforts will not make a difference in their lives. The uneducated person doesn’t know
Seils 2 which products are recyclable and which are not. Then, some just forget to recycle daily and weekly, along with taking out their trash.
Just think of all of the benefits of recycling from reducing waste in our local landfills. Recycling helps reduce pollution and conserves natural resources. It helps in creating new jobs at the local, state, and government levels which will increase great benefits in the job market.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), released significant findings on the economic benefits of the recycling industry with an update to
Everyone has been told to do this, but I don’t think everyone sees the importance of recycling. Sure, a lot of people recycle, but there are a lot that don’t. Recycling has many benefits, but the major benefit is less destruction of forests. Again, the rising population calls for many products that are made from trees, mainly paper. Everybody in the world uses paper, whether it be in the form of books, pencils, toilet paper, towels, and even shoes. All these paper products, and more, are a direct result of deforestation, for the trees are taken down and turned into these products. Say you have a whole box of school papers that you don’t need anymore, and you want to throw them in the trash. Instead of throwing it in the trash, you should recycle it. When you recycle it, the paper goes to a factory, which adds other products to it, melts it down, and molds it into other products. This process can eventually rule out the need for deforestation, reducing the effects of climate change. Clearly, recycling is one of the many sustainable solutions that can hopefully stop
Recycling is the process of making new products from a product that has originally served its purpose. The process of recycling starts when used products are disposed in an appropriate, environmentally friendly way. Items made from materials such as paper, tin cans, aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, and glass, which people use in everyday life, can be separated from regular trash and put in an appropriate recycling bin. The United States now realizes the importance of recycling. However, many ignorant people still think separating recyclables requires too much work. Requiring mandatory recycling would prod these individuals into action. Lack of recycling leads to dramatic consequences such as polluting the environment and raising the number of landfills. Delay is critical; time plays a significant role in waste management. The sooner American communities recycle properly the better it will be for the environment and our surroundings. People need to become conscious and take responsibility as a society to protect the earth, keep it clean and beautiful, and preserve the natural resources. The United States can achieve this goal by implementing mandatory recycling.
One of the biggest reasons recycling should be taken so serious is because of its positive affect on the environment. Without recycling, so many goods that have potential to be repurposed are thrown into landfills. These landfills are piled up and affect the lives of countless wildlife. This quote by Allen Hershkowitz shows the enormity of the helpfulness of recycling. “Because using recycled materials reduces the need to extract, process, refine, and transport the timber, crude petroleum, ores, and so on that are necessary for virgin-based paper, plastics, glass, and metals, recycling lessens the toxic air emissions, effluents, and solid wastes that these manufacturing processes create” (Hershkowitz). Not having to put the weight of everyone’s trash trash on the world’s land and instead, repurposing it into something usable saves so many resources. Recycling not only leaves more room for things where the trash would have gone, but it also means that the people living here will get farther with the resources they have. The more that is taken from the earth the less there will be for those in the future, so saving and taking care of what is here is very important. The ones living in the world today are the people who are get to decide how the people of the generations to come are going to live. People should not want their kids living in a world of filth and pollution where no one cares about the world they are living on. An article by Omid Nodoushani discussed in depth the terrible amounts of pollution that is
Recycling is a very essential and crucial process in our world today. The term recycling means that waste can be converted into new products instead of being discarded. As the population continues to grow, humans are using more and more products. In order to reduce the amount of waste on planet Earth, and to preserve its resources, recycling is significant. Not only does recycling allow the environment to thrive, but it also allows living people to thrive as well. There are many materials that can be recycled. Plastics, electronics, aluminum, food and glass are only but a few products that can be recycled. Recycling can benefit our environment in numerous amount of ways. However, without recycling, negative impacts on our environment can occur. Some of these effects include pollution whether it is air, land or sea, depletion of natural resources and even an increase threat to global warming. Therefore, recycling is extremely important to sustain our environment.
Recycling is one of the most common ways to keep America clean. The recycling bins are one of the most recognizable logos across the world. People all across the U.S. have recycling bins, inside of their household. The sad thing is most people do not use them, they most of the time just throw stuff in the regular trash that could be recycled. For example, plastic, paper, cans, glass, cardboard, and even computer hardware (www.recycleacrossamerica.org). People don’t realize that they could be doing the world a big favor, just by recycling these everyday items.
Preview of Main Points: First, I will explain the problem with not recycling. Next, the causes of the not recycling. Last, the solution and what we can do.
Recycling is an important part of keeping this planet sustainable so our future generations can live on it. Many people are familiar with reprocessing paper and plastic materials, but there are countless others that can also be used. Our landfills are also filling up because too many people throw away these recyclable items that can easily be reused. Almost anyone has the ability to reduce, reuse, and recycle, but it is not always easily accessible which is why many people do not. Although there are some negatives to doing this, recycling is the best option we have when dealing with this problem. Too many non-decomposable items are being thrown away and it is harming the planet. The United States should make recycling mandatory in every state
Recycling is an important thing to do. The average American throws out atleast 4 pounds of trash everyday, and only recycles about a third of that trash. Those pounds all add up to ridiculous ammounts, harming the earth and filling up the landfills very quickly. It may cost money to start up the recycling process, but researchshows that 500 million dollars can be made just by selling recycled materials.
Audience Relevance: Recycling is something most people choose to ignore. Recycling helps the world by reusing trash to make new products. As a result, this helps reduce the amount of trash that rot in landfills and pollution.
Recycling is the act of sorting out reusable materials and using them for something else. There has been many debates on if America should make recycling mandatory. Both sides think that recycling is good for the earth but some people think that there is a much cheaper and easier way to get rid of waste. This cheaper and easier way to get rid of waste are landfills. Others say recycling is the easier and the fastest way to reduce our waste. When you recycle it makes it easier on the workers. To resolve this issue that benefits both sides of the argument recycling should be mandatory in America.
Would you like to live in a filthy atmosphere or do you prefer to breathe fresh air? You decide. Recycling is collecting, separating, and recreating used materials into new products. Most people do not recycle because they do not have the time, or they're lazy, or they just don’t care about saving the environment period. The United States only recycles about “34.3%”
These days, our earth has been filled by a lot of waste. There is a lot of garbage, plastic waste, and electronic waste. We always produce it and dump it when we need the new one. Our waste are piling up and continuously accumulating. Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us now. And our solution in this problem is recycling. In my opinion, recycling is a way to manage used items into new products. We can reduce, reuse, and recycling (3R) waste management (Peter, 2013). We can reduce our waste clothes with reuse it. There are some reasons why peoples recycle used or unwanted items, which are, prevent wasting unusable materials that still have usage after recycled, reduce the application of raw materials, reduce energy
People Need to Recycle In the United Sates, where the population is inflated every year. The amount of space for landfills decreases every day. The need for recycling should not be asked, it should just be done out of habit. Everyone in America needs to recycle, to help the lamdfill problem, help the environment, and help produce new products from recycled goods. In America there is about two-hundred and eight tons of residential and commercial trash generated a year, 4.3 pounds per person a day (Prichard 1A). This is an overwhelming amount of trashed produced yearly. When people recycle this number can be drastically cut. But many people do not practice and use
Recycling is the process of collecting materials that are often considered trash and remanufacturing them into new products that can be resold and used again. Glass, paper, plastic, and metals such as aluminum and steel are all common recycled stuff. Based on the website http://www.environment-green.com/. Approximately 60% of our rubbish thrown away today could be recycled. But what we can see today are people throw 99% of the rubbish away without recycling. When this continues more and more rubbish will be collected and all this need years to dissolve. Most people still not aware of the seriousness of not recycling and the harm that will affect them, it is because they still leave in they comfortable zone but when the day come they will
Recycling is a process where waste materials are transformed into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.
