Romeo and Juliet Persuasive Essay Do children really disobey and lie as it simply is what majority of children do, to help the better of them or even to make the situation worse than it already is? In the play by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, they went through similar circumstances in their lives, as they try and hide their love from their parents and live happy relaxing lives since couldn't resist not being with each other, lying and disobeying them more and more. They also went through so much simply to be with each other, as teens do indeed do that as they fall so far in love with someone they would give anything up simply to be with that one person for the rest of their life. Some may say that there are differences in the teachings in Romeo and Juliet that are different now, for example our society is much more different and more advanced, and the way we speak is much different than how they did back four hundred years ago, along with other teachings from Romeo and Juliet that don't apply to present day teachings. The teachings of the play Romeo and Juliet still merit today for numerous reasons, like how students still lie to their parents, and disobey them for their true love to be successful and live with them, Romeo and Juliet also act similarly to teens now as majority act too quickly to really think about what they’re really doing, and love can be so strong it impacts everything that occurs in their life. One way that the teachings of Romeo and Juliet still apply today is that students lie and disobey their parents exactly as Romeo and Juliet did. Romeo and Juliet disobey their parents in act three scene five, where Lord Capulet tells Juliet she’s going to marry Paris on Thursday to make her feel better after they think she’s sad because of Tybalt’s death, but Juliet is already married to Romeo so she has to disobey her father and say no, to save her marriage with Romeo. This shows how she not only disobeyed her highly respected father but also lie to him as she never told her parents that she was married to Romeo. Students still lie and disobey simply like Juliet did as they tell her to do, but like a normal teen, she disobeys her take out parents. These types of scenarios also occur in my life
