A pastime is a hobby that is performed in someone’s spare time. The term America’s pastime is something that the entire nation enjoys and participates in. Since its creation, baseball has taken the top spot as the nation’s favorite recreation. For generations it filled the homes of Americans whether it be via television, conversation, or participation. We have all been that one freshman, being the little fish in the big pond. You try to get yourself known around school but sometimes that is hard to do.Thinking about joining a sport or club but don’t know what one. Well one sport a freshman could do is softball. Softball is a wonderful sport for freshman to play because you can improve your game, be on a team with your friends, and get a whole new experience.

Even though there are many schools that allow their students to play together, I think that it is a bad idea. If a girl is going to play a sport with a boy, she could get hurt. Yes, you can get hurt in any sport, boy/girl, but if a girl plays football, she might get really hurt if she is weak.

My friends and I have an overall good time out on the field. No more trouble! Playing softball can keep you out of a lot of trouble if you wanna be on the team.

In conclusion, softball is defiantly one of the best sports my school offers for the students who attend. Softball will help one with her fitness with as much running as she will do. She will even get to make some new friends doing this activity. A very good thing, also, is she gets to watch some other softball games. Once one steps foot on that field, she better have her head in the game, and be ready to give it everything she has

I would also consider bowling a recreational activity because you use bowling as a get together with friends and family. Bowling is a sport, but also a recreational activity because it is a get together.
