For as long as I can remember, the age at which one should be able to vote has been a very controversial debate. With the upcoming presidential election on the horizon, we once again see a surge in the push back of the legal voting age. As of July 1971, the 26th amendment, has been enforced. In lowering the age of voting, I feel as if this would benefit America and the younger generation. It would help the percentage of participation from all age groups, in a positive way. Meaning parents can bring their children to vote alongside of them.

The U.S. needs new fresh minds with everyone they can to vote for our laws.
