Here’s a number: 800. That’s about one and a half times the amount of people in our high school. It’s also the estimated number of children who die each day due to diarrhoeal diseases caused by unclean and unsafe drinking water (WaterAid). That being said, here in the United States, almost anyone can walk up to a drinking fountain and clean water will shoot out. My whole life I have taken too many opportunities and freedoms for granted, which is why someday, I want to go on a mission trip to help people in need.
In 1983, Raymond Carver introduced his short story “Cathedral” to the public. The first-person narrative takes place within the narrator’s home, where his wife is waiting upon the arrival of her blind friend Robert. The narrator, however, becomes more concerned about how Robert’s visit will affect him rather than enjoy the situation. Once Robert arrives, the narrator tries to understand the blind man, but he is unaware of what tasks Robert is capable of performing due to the narrator’s inability to “see”. In time, Robert shows the narrator the difference between looking and seeing through illustrations of a cathedral, drawn by the narrator with his eyes closed. “Cathedral’s” narrator exposes readers to anti-heroic views
Traveling always force ladies to dwell on their monthly menstrual cycle. It at times becomes very challenging and exasperating if you know that your periods are coming close to your traveling dates and you cannot alter or reschedule your travel dates. Because of lengthy hours of journey, frenzied traveling schedule and restricted time at the disposal could cause tiredness, frustration, which might cause menstrual period to come early or even befall irregular bleeding.
If you were forced to pick your paradise, where do you think your thoughts would take you? Would you go to the quaint wooden cabin in Michigan that has been in the family for years? Or would you think of your cozy apartment a top a skyscraper in your favorite concrete jungle? Without a second thought, my mind rushes to Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. As locals describe it best, the “elegantly shabby” beachside town 40 minutes from Charleston has been my chosen vacation spot since childhood. Between the hammock shops, crabbing in the creeks and ghost stories, there is always something to entertain you on the island. With only the best memories there, never did I think that there would be something to hold me back from indulging in the lazy
I often get asked by friends why I run cross country. They wonder why I think running is fun and how I can run so far. Although there are days I often ask myself why I run cross country, the answer is simple, it is fun and we are all crazy for joining a sport that is other sports punishments. Cross country is an amazing sport that doesn’t get enough recognition. Even if there are days where I hate practice because of a workout or don’t do well in a race, at the end of the day I still get support from the team no matter what happens.
Bahamas is one of the most visited places for tourist around the world. It attracted 5.8 million visitors in 2017, more than 70% of whom were cruise visitors. Its beautiful attractions make it an unforgettable place to go for vacations. Traveling is the activity that I most enjoy doing it. Last summer, I went on a cruise to Bahamas for 5 days. It has a lot of entertainments that made my visit unique experience, like its beaches, the food and the Casinos & Night life.
With NFL Players kneeling everywhere and soldiers feeling unappreciated, our country is in shock. It all started by a player named Colin Kaepernick, a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, in 2016. This event persuaded numerous NFL players to continue this process. One by one, players all over the league began to protest to call attention to the issues of "racial inequalities and police brutality". With mixed reviews of this protest, I believe that kneeling during the National Anthem of the United States of America is disrespectful because it is abrasive, selfish, and hurtful. Also, I am not sure that all of those protesting in this manner know the true meaning of our national anthem or the flag that represents our freedom.
When in Rome! I chose to pick a study abroad program because I want to explore the world. I think it is a perfect idea to get a chance to travel to another country and earn college credits. I chose Rome because that is where I think I will be more comfortable to visit while in college. It is full of culture, fashion, great cuisines, art, and many more! It has always been on my bucket list to go to Italy. It is the perfect opportunity to visit the country especially while I am in college. I remember watching Lizzie McGuire as a child and she went to Rome and impersonated an Italian pop star, Isabella. She met this handsome man who took her to tour the city. Everyone eventually realized he was using her to ruin Isabella, but it was still a happy ending for Lizzie McGuire. I wanted that happy ending it looked like so much fun running around Rome. The expenses are outstanding for the trip, but at least I have an agenda all laid out by the program.
There are more than 2000 beaches in Brazil, which are the longest in the world. In this South American country, almost every beach has a history, where there are many races which create a distinctive cultural mix. In here, there is a perfect beach for anyone but there is an ultimate dream beach for Stanley Steward the author of the story. Prainha´s Beach is one of them, where the golden sand, the palm trees, and the silver wave looks like a picture from a postcard. On the other hand, Jericoacoara is an isolated beach which is five hours away from any airport and that´s why it hasn´t been spoiled by tourists but it is loved by windsurfers. The islands of Fernando de Noronha have more than a dozen beaches and people were prohibited from visiting
good time traveling on the ocean. But khow the time has passed its a bridge but still its a great place for tourists. Achill

When I close my eyes and imagine, I can still clearly hear the gentle splash of the waves lapping the shoreline, and feel the slight ocean breeze whizz through my hair, sending it flying in every direction. During the frigid and dreary months of Missouri’s winter, there is one place in particular that my heart longs to be. Marco Island, Florida. When most people think of a luxurious vacation, they imagine crystal clear water, snowy white sands, and a miraculous five star hotel. Marco Island is no Bora Bora, but to me it’s the most enchanting small town that values simplicity and offers pure bliss to anyone coming to visit.
“Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics,” announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. “What is your topic Cindy?” As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. “Waffles are better than pancakes.” I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. “Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!” I survived to live yet another day.
Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
In the purpose of relaxing yourself and broadening horizon, why not go to travel on vacation?
