Over 45 million have played sports in America while and other sit down by the television eating food. By the age of 15, 80 percent of those kids have quit because it’s not fun anymore. Some people believe that sports for youths is unhealthy and kids should not play. Some people believe youth should play sports. These people believe it will help them in life. Some say sports are too competitive and youth get injured. Others say sports are a good health benefit. When it comes to sports, there are many to choose from and not all sports are competitive. I believe that youth competitive sports are good for youth because it teaches you important lessons and helps you improve your life skills.
Each sport that you play helps you learn or improve on. If you play sports you learn new skills. Each sport that you play helps you with important life skills. It is a true fact that school doesn't teach kids certain life skills, but in sports, your youth will learn new ones. In all sport, you have to know how to have communication skills. Communication skills help you understand how to socialize with people around you. You have to know how to communicate through your whole life. Childhood through adulthood. Sports and communication skills help you talk to your group. When you play a sport you have to understand to meet new people and how to work things out with them. A point of disagreement among the people whose youth play in competitive sports, is that some think they are too dangerous because the youth can get many injuries that can change their life forever. But on the other hand people think that it is a way to learn life skills and have great confidence, because they will need to know those simple key skills when they are out in the real world and have a job. Research shows, however, that competitive sports are good for youth because the children are meeting new people and they are building up their self-esteem.
The AHSAA (Alabama High School Athletic Association) reports that a total of 90 home-school students have joined junior and high school athletic teams during the 2016-17 school year, with only 13 playing the marquee sport of football. Homeschooled kids should be allowed to play in public school sports. Everyone should be allowed a chance to prove themselves, no matter what. No matter where they are from, no matter what they do, no matter even if they are homeschooled! If this was you, not getting a chance to prove yourself. What would you do? Would you want to make your mark on the world?
Over the course of a year, there is only a 10% chance that a child playing a contact sport, such as football, will get a concussion. As early as the age of 5, parents enroll their children in sports. The most common of these sports include contact. It is questionable to parents whether or not their child should be involved in such activities. Children should play contact sports.

On Sunday, February 7th, people all over will be attached to their televisions, tuning in for the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl and watching the game that has been around for over 145 years; a game that should be open to all ages, including children. In this situation, there are too many rewards that outweigh the risks to consider stopping youth football. This sport gives so many amazing opportunities for children and keeps them healthy too.
Sports can be viewed as a learning environment that helps individuals learn life lessons, foster strong work habits and develop core values all the while learning a sport skill. Youth sports that truly benefit young athletes should be structured to emphasize participation more than just competition. Children enjoy a sport more when they are able to have fun (Humpries). Despite many excesses some sport programs still manage to promote important virtues like self- confidence, teamwork, personal responsibility, coping skills, and persistence. Through sports kids can learn to stay organized and learn how to prioritize (Ferguson). Sports enables development of physical skills and increasing proficiency makes kids feel good about themselves. It teaches kids that failure is something to overcome and and not to fear (Meyerhoff 8-9). Youth sports has many aspects that are truly benefiting for children, but these benefits are slowly being clouded by the negatives that are prominent in today's youth sports.
Over 40 million kids in America play competitive sports today. It is almost impossible to imagine a childhood with no basketball, baseball, or softball. Competitive sports have become a part of our culture. However, recent concerns about concussions and placing too much pressure on children has lead to a decline in sports activity. Obviously, this sparks the question: should we still continue to hold youth sports at all? The benefits of more fit and ready people in society clearly outweigh the concerns of injury, which are currently being remedied. Therefore, not only should we continue to have competitive sports, but we should, as a society, place more value on it.

While there is a numerous group of parents who have no problem with their child being involved in football, recent revelations would begin to grow concern in some. It is because of this we must ask, should parents disallow their children from participating in football, or should they focus on the more positive benefits that the organized sport could have?

According to ESPN, enrollment in Pop Warner, the largest youth-football league in the U.S., dropped 9.5 percent from 2010 to 2012. Regardless, Americans should allow their kids to play football because it offers athletic scholarships to students who can’t afford to go to college, builds important skills, and get kids physically active.
You are worried about your child going to get injured in his first game of football. Little did you know, there's nothing you should be really worried about. In fact, sports to young children or teens might seem dangerous. But on the other hand, it is just a fun sport for young children and teens to play. Sports also makes kids and teens active in a fun way and sports makes kid entertain themselves. Although sports seems dangerous, teens and young children should be allowed to play sports because sports makes them healthy, higher scores in school, and makes kids less depressed (sad).

Benefits for kids who play competitive sports are that they keep you active, it keeps everybody’s grades up, and scholarships could be given.

Some people say competitive sports cost too much and they are way too dangerous for young kids to participate in. However, for many youth, competitive sports play a positive role. When kids play competitive sports, they are happier and they learn how to be healthy. Also, they learn life lessons that they will need for the future.
Students learn about the importance of sports and how it has a positive effect in their lives. Sports also help teach children about teamwork and sportsmanship and how it will help them in the future. Although some people might argue that sports are making children stressed out and distracting them from learning, it actually helps raise their grades and help them become more focused. Organized youth sports are extremely popular among youth and their families, with approximately 45 million children and adolescent participating in the US. There are many characteristics children can develop while playing youth sports such as confidence, self-esteem, leadership, respect, independence, assertiveness, and conflict resolution. Competition can help kids learn more, improve faster and reach a higher level of excellence than they would be able to without the ongoing challenge. Competitive sports can help keep kids active and health as they grow, and other distractions increase that may lead to an unhealthy lifestyle. People argue that it can destroy self-esteem and lead to resentment. Programs and coaches overemphasizing
