Thank you. I want to start there. As a matter of fact, I think it's important I start there. You're one of the dopest MCs to grace hip-hop and I remember feeling inspired to sing because you made alto singing popular. You blessed us with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and for this we are forever grateful.
So now, here we are in 2016 and I'm crossing off an item on my bucket list because I've just witnessed your concert at Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA. The park was filled with those like myself who respect and adore you. With that being said, Lauryn, I need to ask why you would make us wait 2 hours and 35 minutes for this moment with you? I'd hope you would respect your fans and supporters-who are still fervent after 15+ years and just 1 studio album-more than this. This was

This was your opportunity to make-up for your tardiness. As a fellow alto, I noticed you struggled with mid-range notes. Your stage presence and energy, or lack thereof, was low-level from the start and I think we all expected more from you. As for the choice of opening, we like "Perfect Peace," but we were all waiting for one of your songs that gave us that nostalgic feeling. We wanted Miseducation in motion. You gave it to us 2 songs later, but the music paced faster than we remember the lyrics moving, making it hard to recognize anything. We couldn't sing along. This was your chance to make us feel like family again. It didn't happen. Not helping matters, we couldn't see you well. The stage lighting was poor; we couldn't catch true glimpses of you and the creative power your dancers brought to your performance. Even the screens weren't very clear due to the dimness after 10pm. I'd do you a disservice by dismissing these things Lauryn, but in fairness, amidst the boo-ing from my peers, I should tell you what you got

It's with distinct pleasure that I write to support Marina Wagdy's application for the Student Leadership program.
Beyonce was more than just a performer, she was my dear friend. She had many different roles that she would play to the public and to us, her family. She was a mother, sister, a wife, an aunt, a role model, and most of all, a truly genuine friend. Even though, like any other person in the world, Beyonce had challenges and demons to face, she always kept her head held high and a smile on her face through it all. If it wasn't for Beyonce, I do not think that they any person in this room right now would have had not met a true angle in their lifetime. It still amazes me to think that a woman with so many talents and facets is gone right now. My heart, and I know all of yours, it truly broken right now. However, I know that Beyonce would not like us to grieve her death, she would want us to have a celebration of her life and accomplishments, not her final resting place. B, I know that you're listening right now because you were always extremely nosey, but thank you for giving us so many amazing years with you. We could truly see your
Aaliyah was my best friend, we told eachother everything, I was there with her when she first recorded her first song, we sang together, we even wrote a song together, i thought of her like a little sister, little did I know of the short time I had with her. I remember when I first heard of her, she was performing in Las Vegas with the famous singer Gladys Knight. You should have seen my face full of shock and awe as I heard this eleven year old’s voice, the way she hit all the right notes, and how her voice blended perfectly with Gladys was amazing. From that point on I knew she was going to be a superstar, and that I wanted her, no needed to have her in one of my albums. Three years later, yet again she surprises me by her debut album with
This past fall, I was given the opportunity to audition for VA district 13's district chorus. As a member of the FUMA choir, I saw this as a breath of fresh air. Our choir is ok, but it has its strengths and weaknesses. Passing the audition would be easy, a short song and sight reading, I mean, it's not rocket science. Passing the audition with flying colors, I had about two months to prepare the chosen songs. (Learning a part solely by piano can be a long and tedious process, but thankfully we were provided practice recordings of our parts.) With only two months to learn my part, I hit the ground running listening to the mp3s whenever I had a chance to.
To the veterans that are still with us today. I want you all to know that we do the pledge of
I am very thankful to have been given this amazing opportunity of shadowing at Terwilliger Plaza. I am grateful for all the hands on experience I was given, which helped me gain an enormous amount of knowledge. This experience has helped me go out of my comfort zone, and I was able to figure out the right career path for me. A big thank you goes out to the CNA nurses I shadowed, I learned a lot from them and will forever be thankful. Thank you so much
I'm emailing you on behalf of the Voyager Team. We understand that Seth is diagnosed with ADD and taking medications at home, but we are concerned as a term with his behavior in class and in the hall. We are hoping that you can help us by talking to Seth about his behavior.
I am Elizabeth Benitez and I work for NAU-Yuma and the PACTO-program. The reason that I am contacting you is because we have a student, Benjamin Suarez, who is applying to the Teacher Education Program for Spring 2017. The student have worked with you in the past, and we would like you to please send us a recommendation form for Benjamin Suarez. Attached is the form that I will like you to fill out and send it back to me.
I am writing to express my concern regarding your company’s policy toward people of color. Recently, you denied admittance to a young Negro man who desired to compete with his high school team at a golf tournament. This tournament was scheduled to take place at your country club. He worked hard to earn his way there and was eager to experience the reward for his labors.Your decision is unjust because those of color should be treated as equals and not as a lower class. They should treated as those who belong in society, not cast out in the vast desert of poverty.
This is a letter about dealing with adversity, learning and then becoming a better person because of your experience.
When I stood back up I watched the steaming water quickly melt away the ice. "So now I'm like you? I can freeze things?" Alister laughed. "Freezing time and people takes practice but one day you should be able to. For now, you'll have to work on freezing water, grass, and inanimate objects." I walked to my clothes and started putting them back on. "How long did it take you to master?" I looked to Alister to find he was already dressed. "Years but it may take you longer. You have many abilities to hone and probably even more that we haven't discovered." I took Alister's hand and he brought us back to the car.

On a blazing hot day in Houston, Texas on September 4, 1981, the queen of R&B and entertainment was born. Her early life was full of music, hours of singing, competing in talent shows, and endless days of practice. Ever since she was a young child she always knew she wanted to make it big in the music industry. As a teenager she formed an R&B group with her cousins and 2 classmates. Destiny’s Child became one of the most popular R&B acts. The reason they gained so much fame is because this was a time when R&B was becoming
