It may have taken me a while to find the right place but I’ve officially found it! Matteo’s Ristorante is a family style Italian restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida with a comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. As you walk into the restaurant your nose becomes overwhelmed with mouth-watering smells, you are greeted by friendly and sociable hosts, and the sounds of chatter and dishes clanking fill your senses. The velvet cushions on the chairs, spacious tables and TV’s that entertain sports fans make the atmosphere relaxing and entertaining. Matteo’s three best dishes include the baked clams as an appetizer, the creamy penne ala vodka as an entrée, and the cold vanilla ice-cream with chocolate hard shell for desert.
Golden brown baked clams are the perfect introduction to your delectable meal. The chewy, salty, succulent clam creates a burst of flavors when eating. The crunchy, savory, and deep fried breading perfectly complements the clam and the buttery, garlic and oil sauce that surrounds the clams help to add to its savory flavor. Cream and tomato come together to form a velvety, rich vodka sauce that truthfully can’t be beaten! The smoothness of the cream and the delicate flavor of the tomatoes make your taste buds party! The al dente penne is cooked to perfection, it is lightly cooked and firm to the bite. The two-inch cylinder shaped penne soaks in the ala vodka sauce on the inside and on the outside. What is better than a double coating? The penne ala vodka is the most flavorful pasta entrée I have ever eaten and I am sure that anyone would say the same. There is only one dessert that would perfectly finish off this amazing meal, the vanilla ice cream with the hard chocolate
