Specific purpose: To persuade the audience about the benefits of changing the Minimum Legal Drinking Age from twenty-one to eighteen.

INTRODUCTION
Attention Gainer: Have you ever wondered how much life would change if the United States allowed Alcohol to be consumed legally for college students, specifically for an eighteen year old?
Reason to Listen: As a current college student, I have personally witnessed my peers under the age of twenty one years old, at some point in this first semester, drink alcohol.
Speaker Credibility (right to inform): Since, I personally would like the MLDA to be changed to eighteen years old, I have done copious amounts of research to become an expert on this topic. Well here is our step to action, which I believe illustrates greatest support for my topic. We can petition to be one-hundred percent against the drinking age and is ready to see an era where drinking under twenty-one years old is legal. Stated on the White House government page it states that, “We call on the federal government to repeal the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 and mandate all 50 U.S. states and integral territories lower their drinking age to 18” (whitehouse, 2015)
CONCLUSION
Restate Your Thesis: Today I hope that I successfully informed all of you on why the MLDA should be eighteen instead of twenty-one. Hopefully all of you take my action step seriously and help enforce the drinking age to eighteen years old instead of twenty-one.
