A grave tragedy occurred during the beginning of the movie. His mother, terminally ill, was living in her final moments while young peter quill was just outside in the hospital hallway, in despair and denial. The only possession he had on him was a Sony Walkman with a cassette tape that his mother had given him both earlier in life titled “Awesome Mix Vol. 1”. While in the hallway he listened to “I’m not in love” by 10CC. He was called into his mother’s room and the family gathered around while comforting peter quill’s mom. She had a present that she had made him before she had to venture on elsewhere. She exchanged the gift with him and then a flat line is heard in the background. He doesn’t open her gift until the end of the movie which is around twenty years later. We’ll get to the gift later.

Miles Morales was just an average teenager. Late night video games with his friend Ganke, or even crushing on his dream girl Alicia. Miles said, “I am embarrassed that I find her so hot.” It is something Peter Parker would have never said, and just overall makes him feel as just more of an average teen . Morales was born in Brooklyn, and also has much love for science. Miles attended a boarding school where he was awarded the very last position to being accepted. Miles felt he could barely stay afloat with the overwhelming work, and trying to take on this new role as SpiderMan. Miles also has both his parents, where Peter Parker lived with his uncle and aunt. This is the more normal household situation in most situations in the United States .Miles has more of a feel of average teenager who faces the same adversities that thousands of average teenagers face

A large part of any story, especially one with the quest archetype, is love. Since the first time he sees Mary-Jane at the age of six, Peter Parker (Spider-Man) has loved her. At this time, Peter even asked his aunt: “Aunt May, Aunt May, is that an angel?” This truly displays how much Spider-Man adores Mary-Jane. In fact, Peter will do anything to help her. For example, near the beginning of the film, Peter saves Mary-Jane from slipping in the cafeteria. Because of his powerful love of Mary-Jane, Peter also faces consequences, though. His enemies, such as the Goblin Goblin, can manipulate him using Mary-Jane as a bribe, or ransom.

The most obvious thing that is important to the character is his adopted daughter, Anna. Throughout the narrative he shows that he cares for her happiness and her health. She is unable to speak clearly and tell her own story, so the character (father) tells it for her. The character is trying to show the reader how effective music can be as a therapy, and is using his own experience to prove the worth of musical therapy. He gives example after example of how music improved the life of his daughter, and how she looks forward to her day with music so eagerly. One line he says, “Ask her a direct question and you will get a stammered word or two at most. Play a song and she will begin to shout out the words, even if she has never heard them before. ”It is a testament to how much music can change her attitude and behaviours. It seems to fill her with confidence and strength where usually she is frail, a picture painted by the quote above.
He was a man with an adventurous spirit and a love for the water and all things seaworthy. He realized his love for the sea at a young age.
Parts of the aforementioned section of the movie may be an indication that he may have had some unresolved issues in the adolescent stage of role confusion vs. identity. Adolescence is a stage at which we are neither a child nor an adult, life is definitely more complex. In this stage humans attempt to find an individual identity, struggle with social interactions, and grapple with moral issues. The task is to discover who we are as individuals. If a person is unsuccessful in navigating this stage, he or she will experience role confusion and upheaval. A significant task for a person is to establish a philosophy of life and in this process humans tend to think in terms of ideals, which are conflict free, rather than reality, which is usually filled with one conflict or another. Holland’s reality is that he has not yet completed the music piece he has strived for and needs to teach. This creates a conflict of time, as he feels he is getting too old to publish the musical work. Teaching takes up the time he needs to work on his music, causing him frustration. It appears that he has found it easy to substitute ideals for experience.
