During school kids can have many factors affecting their education. One of the main factors is their physical health. Physical health affects everything because if your body doesn’t want to correspond then you can’t do well. One can get too stressed and they can stop eating and if people don’t eat they don’t perform well in school. One can get ill leading them to stop going to school for a while and their education starts to get affected. Girls can also have sexual interaction leading to pregnancy and they can stop their education and continue it later or stop for good. If a child experiences an elevation in their blood pressure it can lead to a stoke, it leads to a stoke by damaging the brain’s blood vessels causing them to leak. If the brain is not healthy it affects your grades because the child will experience hard challenges and it will not correspond. Also if the elevation of blood pressure is occurring it will cause the blood to create clots in the arteries leading to your brain, blocking blood flow and it will most likely cause a stroke. If the child dies because of the stroke they won’t continue school because there is no them that gets up early to get to school. Because of stress children/ teenagers can create eating disorders which affect their whole life. A person will get really stressed out about not doing their work that they would rather do their work instead of eating or they will get what’s closer to them and over eat. As students don’t eat they don’t think about the consequences and the consequences are anorexia and bulimia. Although both eating disorders are related to emotional pain, students won’t even realize the eating habits their changing that are causes to these eating disorders. On one hand if a student doesn’t eat it will cause them to perform badly in school, a student who is not healthy is most likely to have poor grades

I feel like schools should pay closer attention monitoring the health of children because health is such an important factor in everyday life and not all children are given that luxury at home. Some students might feel that they are overweight and schools can help students understand what the real definition of overweight is, how can they stop becoming overweight and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes the stigma of being overweight can lead to eating disorders of students so it’s good to promote positive eating

The health of students should be considered one of the most important issues in education. However, as of 2012, the Center for Disease Control calculated that over one third of children and adolescents were either overweight or obese. Not only does obesity cause physical health problems, but can also affect the academic performance of students. Over the past few years, Americans have been working together to find solutions for this problem.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “About one in three U.S. kids are overweight or obese”. This shows that unhealthy lunches can lead to obesity because the food they are getting for lunch has too many calories. So if the students eat healthy the number of students overweight will go down. Health and Physical Education is a mandatory learning area in the school curriculum which provides opportunities for all students to live healthy and active lifestyles. Schools are recognised as primary settings for developing health-related knowledge and skills. Health and physical education supports students to enhance their own and others’ health. HPE is a learning area of Australian curriculum through which students can make healthier choices. It focuses explicitly on developing movement skills and encourage students to participate in range of physical activities. Therefore, Health and Physical Education is a vital learning area in the school curriculum.
Health is a crucial and complicated matter of people’s life. It is essential to explore health from many different aspects. Health depends of every personal situation that may impact on human being therefore it is required to look at it from an individual perspective (Y158, cited in L185 Block 3 Session 2, p.7). Factors that may reflect on an individual’s health can be distinguished as internal and external. This essay will concentrate more specifically firstly on psychological aspects, as an element of internal factors and secondly on school interventions, as a part of external factors, followed by examples.
When it comes to physical health it does affect your cognitive development when a young child comes from a home where the environment is not the best place to stay when they come to school that focus and mind set is not there at all. Many times in class you may hear a child say there tummy hurts or when is lunch or did they miss breakfast if a child doesn’t eat that morning that’s doing nothing more than stoping there growth and sadly that mental development is not there. This can happen very often when the child lives in poverty where there isn’t enough food in the household for them to eat.
There would be three objectives to my proposal as children are divided into three sections in school. Objectives for this policy would be to increase the amount of physical activity in grades K-12. Objective one would be to increase the total number of minutes of physical activity in grade schools from 90 to 180 minutes per week. The increase in total allotted time for physical activity would constitute 36 minutes of physical activity per day. Objective two would be to increase the number of necessary physical education credits in middle school. Currently, there is only one credit required for all three years of middle school; objective two would increase that number to three. Children would need to have a semester of physical education every year as opposed to one semester in three years. Objective three would be to have a minimum of three physical education credits required for high school graduation. This objective would again increase the number of required credits from one to three. Again, children would be forced to participate in high impact physical activity one semester per year.
It is well known that exercise and physical activity have myriad positive effects and benefits on a person’s physical health. A similar concept to think about is the relationship between physical activity and mental health, specifically academic performance. Through my research of studies, trials, and reviews I believe that physical activity has a positive effect on academic performance, leading to higher grade point averages, achievement in post-compulsory education, and learning.
