Should Pit Bulls Be Allowed in Independence MO? Do you think all dogs should have the freedom people do? Pit bulls should be allowed in Independence MO. Pit Bulls should have the freedom to live there lives in peace not being penalized for the way the owner treats the dog. Pit bulls are very sweet dogs it just depends on the owner.
One reason is that the ¨Dogs suffer rather than give up beloved pets, owners of highly regulated or banned breeds avoid detection by restricting their dogs’ outdoor exercise and socialization¨ ( Breed-Specific) .However, the problem of dangerous dogs will not be remedied by the “quick fix” of breed-specific laws.
Another reason is that owners suffer, ¨Responsible owners
Are Pit-Bulls an overly vicious breed or are they just misunderstood by today's American society?
When BSL is enacted in a community it gives the citizens a false sense of security. They believe that all the “dangerous” dogs are done away with. Breed-specific laws have a tendency to compromise rather than enhance public safety. When limited animal control resources are used to regulate or ban a certain breed of dog, without regard to behavior, the focus is shifted away from routine, effective enforcement of laws that have the best chance of making our communities safer: dog license laws, leash laws, animal fighting laws, anti-tethering laws, laws facilitating spaying and neutering and laws that require all owners to control their dogs, regardless of breed.
2. They were also the preferred “guard dog” for big time drug dealers and gangs.
Banning a breed, which the technical words are breed specific legislation, is not a good idea. Putting a ban on pit bulls is a less than great idea because people will continue to own pit bulls and hide them or even abandon their dog(s) and leave them to die. The irresponsible owners should deal with heavier fines and possibly jail time and this might scare these owners into training their pit bull properly. There is no proven fact that banning pit
Armando Christian Pérez, (born January 15, 1981)[3][4] better known by his stage name Pitbull, is an American rapper. His first recorded mainstream performance was on a solo track from Lil Jon's 2002 album Kings of Crunk, which featured Pitbull rapping over Jon's production. In 2004, Pitbull released his debut album titled M.I.A.M.I. (backronym for Money Is A Major Issue), under TVT Records; the album included production from high-profile producers Lil Jon and Jim Jonsin. Pitbull later released his second album El Mariel, in 2006 and his third, The Boatlift, in 2007.[6] His fourth album, Rebelution (2009), included the hit single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", which was his first internationally popular song, and ultimately peaked at number
Whether you like it or not, labels matter -- even if you're a dog, especially if that dog is a pit bull. http://www.care2.com/causes/heres-what-pit-bulls-are-really-bred-to-do.html This breed knows a thing or two about labels; the pit bull went from America's darling dog to one of the most feared http://www.dontbullymybreed.org/index.php/information/resources/pit-bulls-a-history (and misunderstood) dogs today. And new research from Arizona State University published in PLOS ONE shows just how detrimental the pit bull label can be.
In October 2014, a family in Sacramento found a dog that had been hit by a car. The dog, a pit bull named Zoe, was emaciated, abused and had spent her life being bred for puppies. Though full-grown, she weighed only 38 pounds at the time of her rescue. Her owners denied that they had ever owned her, so the family that found her came to her rescue, providing her with food, warmth and shelter.
Pitbulls are said to be a very dangerous breed, and some people say we should sterilize all of them. Pitbulls are dangerous and used for the wrong reasons, and they need to be sterilized. Is it really worth it to throw away lives so we can save only one dog breed? Not only that, but nothing is being done about it. After all the deaths of children and adults, how long will it take for the government to ban them?
Pit Bulls, are not a type of breed, but in fact a name to call certain dogs that look and act similar. These are some of the names of breeds considered to be pit bulls, American
Pitbulls, and Boxers are alike in most aspects but are not at the same time. Boxers, and Pits are awesome dogs and can be to with the right training, and knowledge of them. There are many things to tell the apart but people are to quick to stop and think along with take a good look at the dog and realize the difference between the two dogs. To help with that here are some facts on their differences and similarities, and how to tell them apart.
Owning a pit bull in today’s day and age has one of two reactions: Either the person loves them or is terrified of them. There are so many myths about Pit Bulls and they are just that. Myths. Some of the myths that surround pit bulls are that they have “lock jaw” and they have a killer instinct that does not stop at just killing other animals. Pit bull advocates, such as myself, know that Pit Bulls have always been known as the “nanny dog” throughout history because of how much they love children and their loyalty to their families. Mean or vicious dogs come from ignorant, irresponsible owners. The bottom line is that not all pit bulls are bad.
Knowing exactly which dog food to buy for your Pit Bull terrier can be confusing. There are countless options available when you go to the store and many of them are very unhealthy choices. Dog food is offered in packets, cans, or large bags. Dog foods that are mass prepared can be high in quality and well balanced, it is important that you buy the best you can afford. Most of the larger dog food companies maintain testing laboratories that check for quality and nutritional value.
I am very excited to start on this project. I look forward to helping out people and dogs in my community. I love the project that I chose and I think that it is going to be an amazing learning opportunity. I want to create a series of workout challenges for people in my community. It will cost $5 dollars to sign up for the challenge and the winner will receive a t-shirt. The rest of the money will be donated directly to pit bull animal shelters. I want to help out at pit bull dog rescues in particular because they have long been the the target for breed discrimination. I am a little nervous because it is my first time doing a 20 time project, but I can't wait to get started. I love the idea of this project because I get to do what I am passionate
Around that time the Staffordshire Bull terrier was developed and modern dog-fighting was born. The dog was brought to America in 1817 and dog fighting became part of American culture. The “sport” was endorsed by the United Kennel Club, which actually formulated rules and sanctioned referees. Although dog fighting had become illegal in most states by the 1860’s, it continued to flourish as an American pastime through the early twentieth century. It was so popular in fact that in 1881 the Ohio and Mississippi railroads advertised special fares to a dog-fight in Louisville between Lloyd’s Pilot, owned by ‘Cockney Charlie' Lloyd and Crib, owned by Louis Krieger.Public forums such as Kit Burns’ Tavern, “The Sportsman’s Hall” at 273 Water Street
A puppy is a juvenile dog. Some puppies can weigh 1–3 lb (0.45–1.36 kg), while larger ones can weigh up to 15–23 lb (6.8–10.4 kg). All healthy puppies grow quickly after birth. A puppy's coat color may change as the puppy grows older, as is commonly seen in breeds such as the Yorkshire Terrier. In vernacular English, puppy refers specifically to dogs while pup may often be used for other mammals such as seals, giraffes, guinea pigs, or even
