one experience I had was when I won MVP basketball team. it was one of my giggest goals because I love basketball and I wanted to bring a trophy home. I had a lot of good players on my team, so I knew it wasn't going to be easy. The other kids on my team had many years of experience in playing basketball and it was barely my second

Squeaking of the shoes on the court thousands of fan cheering the name of a an Nba all star. The time has come all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears are starting to pay of as He begin to look at myself in the mirrors as a Nba champion. To watch it all flash before his life the dream of life was finally coming true thanks to all the hard work and dedication.
To achieve a goal a team has to work together. I was mad when Liam had to move away from Carter, his best friend, and cousin. I was sad when I moved out my old house that my parents brought me home to when I was born. This has changed me because I used to be jealous of people when they had something I wanted but I have changed. One of many ways this changed me is that I have learned to never give up.
In my opinion I think foot ball is a little dangerous for children because there have been some accidental death from non-legal hits and different injuries sustained from playing the sport. One of the more serious injuries someone can get from playing football is paralysis and this is caused from an idiot player that decides to use his head, instead of his hands and rams it into the middle of your spinal column.
We all can recall our freshmen year, the awkward uncertainty with which we walked the halls, feeling like a foreigner in a place much bigger than what we were used to before entering high school. Some freshmen struggle to keep their heads above water, while some find a sort of lifeboat that gets them through the year. The young ladies of the CHHS Girls Frosh/Soph Basketball Team have been lucky enough to find that lifeline in each other. Oftentimes, the "Frosh/Soph" level of a school sport is seen as a mere stepping stone to bigger and better things. Because of this assumption, we as a student body often fail to praise the successes of our frosh/soph and junior varsity teams. This year, the CHHS Girls Frosh/Soph Basketball Team won league.
You are sitting at home watching a tense basketball game on television. Thousands of people are screaming at the top of their lungs as a player from your home team dribbles up the court. There are only four seconds left, and the home team is down by two. The guard dishes to the center, breaking across the middle. He takes the pass, spins once, and puts up a shot. A defender appears to be draped all over him as the ball hangs in the air forever. The horn sounds, drowning out the referee's whistle. Everyone rises to their feet, their eyes following the trajectory of the spinning ball. A deafening roar explodes as the ball settles into the net. Yes! You instantly see the official has blown his whistle, and you know the player will have a chance
People may say basketball is just a game, or just a sport, or just a hobby. Little do people know it is not only that, but it is also an extreme educational experience. Growing up I’ve played basketball almost all my life, I even went to my first game when I was six days old. Since I have been playing for as long as I remember I have gone through numerous experiences with the sport. Basketball has taught me how to be selfless, how to bypass trouble, and how to be a positive role model for kids looking up to me.
In second grade I met this kid who would smile and laugh at everything and better yet, he played basketball. Since my dad was the basketball coach my team, and he needed another player on the team. He asked Ethan to if he wanted to join the team and Ethan said why not. Ethan was an Asian kid, who was always bigger than everyone else, and would be the nicest person you would meet.
This game is played on a football field in a stadium. This is football just the way to score is you have to dunk a football in a basketball hoop. Then you have to kick it in the hoop.
There are 3 seconds left on the clock, the ball is passed to the person outside the 3-point line, they shoot right as the buzzer goes off, while the ball is flying through the air to the hoop. In this moment everyone is holding their breath to see who the winner is, and then the shot is made, the Jaguars won. It was a hard, well-played game between both teams. In Intramural Basketball, most people associate it with just hanging around with other people who want to shoot some hoops. This is not the case because many who play Intramural Basketball have high hopes of becoming the champion of the league. Intramural Basketball is very competitive, and those who play in are not there to hang around with other people but rather to win the league and be known as the team to beat. As I have studied an Intramural Basketball team that my roommate plays on, I saw just how badly they want to win, and it was in the way they played. Intramural Basketball is the basketball league at BYU-Idaho, that allows students who enjoy playing basketball to keep playing and competing against other teams. As I looked further into this team, I saw that they fit the criteria of a discourse community, which is people who enjoy doing the same hobbies coming together to practice to get better or to play just for fun. Ann Johns developed this idea, and formed six different questions that create the criteria. These questions explore the importance of communication, genre, and the different lexis that they
A direct correspondence of motivation for me is being overlooked. At our school in fourth grade, we were permitted to participate in sports. During winter, it was basketball season and I was excited to play. Despite my initial confidence, I not playing well and could not make right handed layups as I was left handed. Because of this, I started being placed with the less athletic kids. I clearly remember being placed in the inside court, while all the “good” players were put outside. This hurt and angered me. At first, I decided to play with rage or just not try. Everyday after practice I was near tears and told mom I suck at basketball. One day after practice, the coach noticed I was very livid, he decided to bring into his office and I explained how I felt and he told I would probably be on the “B” team. The following the practice, we found out our teams, and
I would take a journey to NBA2K16, because I love basketball. I think it would be an amazing journey to take. It’s like I’m playing in the pros for real and making lots of money. Also, I get to ball with some of the greatest superstars in the world, Such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry. It has also been one of my dreams to hang out with professional basketball player. I just think hanging out with professional basketball players would be so much fun and a great experience to have. So I will take that opportunity to make my dreams come true one this journey. This journey will affect me in a great way because they can help me get better in basketball. Also they will teach me a lot of amazing techniques to improve my game. Then
It was just another ordinary day at my household. Yet at the back of my mind, I was tugging on a memory- something about it being Sunday. Finally, I realized it. There was basketball practice on Sundays. I was ecstatic, but I wanted reassurance for my excitement, so I texted my friend JP to confirm the time.
As Seth came running out of the locker room the crowd went wild, it was his senior year and he already had all the college scouts after him. He has been the starting point guard for the Bozeman Hawks since his freshman year and has averaged more points and assists throughout his career than any other player to go to Bozeman. They are 6-0 and tonight is the night they play their rivals, the Livingston Rangers. Seth and the rest of the team would have to been on there A game if they wanted to beat the Rangers, who are also 6-0. Seth was not feeling like himself as he was warming up, but figured it was just his nerves and tried to ignore it. It was time for tip off and the Hawks got the ball; right away seth passed it to his best-friend,
Coach McDonald: Things have been good. Locally, Shreveport is excited we are bringing the sport back to Centenary. There is a lot of excitement for from both the men’s and women’s game. There is a lot of good lacrosse in the Shreveport area and everyone is excited. In fact, we recently had a meeting with local coaches to basically let them know what is going on with the program, why we’re coming back, how were coming back, what kind of support we are getting from the school. We want student-athletes to know there is an option to play lacrosse at the next level. We are the only NCAA game in the state, and that is a huge recruiting factor for us. When the program started years ago, there was only about 12 or 13 high schools who had lacrosse
