Pluto by far was the least massive planet, with less than 5 percent of the mass of Mercury, the solar system’s next smallest planet. The orbit of Pluto is very flat from a perfect circle. In fact, Pluto spends 20 years of its 248 year orbit closer to Neptune than to the Sun. Pluto’s orbit is not only oblong, it tips more than 17 degrees from the plane of the solar system, a full of 10 degrees more than Mercury’s orbit.

Known as a dwarf planet, Pluto is in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond Neptune. It was the first discovered Kuiper belt object.

In the Solar System there is nine planets total counting Pluto and eight not counting pluto. Named after the Greek god of the underworld Pluto is the ninth of the nine planets from the sun. Pluto was discovered in February 18, 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. Plutos the only orbit planet in the Solar System after it was classified as an orbit planet back in 2006. The planet has nine moons total Charon, Hydra, Nix, Kerberos, and Styx. Although Pluto is the largest Dwarf Planet it's smaller than most moon of the other planets. Alongside Pluto is the eighth planet from the sun otherwise known as Neptune. Due to its blue coloration Neptune was named after the Roman god of the Sea. While neptunes the third largest planet with respect to mass, according to diameter it's the fourth largest. Neptune has 14 moons and a very thin collection of rings that are made up of ice and dust

Pluto being a planet is a controversial topic all over the world, should Pluto be a planet? Or should we exclude Pluto from being a part of our solar system. Here are three agreements that could be made to support the fact that Pluto should never become a part of our solar system. There are three characteristics that an object in space must have to be classified a planet and there are three characteristics as well to be classified as a dwarf planet, a dwarf planet must be able to orbit the sun, just like all objects in our solar system; a dwarf planet has to be small enough for the mass to not be able to clear its neighborhood; also, the entail shape needs to be round. Now the criteria for a planet is roughly the same as a dwarf planet with the exception of one characteristic.

Several objects surround Pluto including Nix (Pluto’s natural satellite) and Hydra (Pluto's outermost satellite) , comets, and the constellations “Teapot”, and “Scorpius”. Pluto is a fascinating planet because of its discoveries and missions, composition, and research.

Many issues have arisen from the debate whether or not Pluto is a planet. Some astronomers say that Pluto should be classified as a “minor planet” due to its size, physical characteristics, and other factors. On the other hand, some astronomers defend Pluto’s planet status, citing several key features.

Until 2006, Pluto was known as the ninth planet in our solar system. Since then, Pluto in now known and seen as a dwarf planet. Plutos size is 2,400 km across, one day on Pluto equals to 6 Earth Days. The average distance between Pluto and the Sun is 3.73 billions miles and Pluto's average surface temperature is -243f. Pluto is the only world named by an 11-year-old girl, Venetia Burney of Oxford, England, who suggested to her grandfather that it get its name from the Roman god of the underworld.

The way the government worked in that time shaped the minds to citizens. In the book, The REpublic of Pluto, by Allan Bloom, it can be very clearly shown through the character Socrates. The way the government worked, or more of how it didn’t work made it so Socrates could deeply understand and think about how there needs to be a clarity between the government and the people. Through his thoughts he was able to influence others.

Astronomers now label Pluto as a “dwarf planet” because it does not meet all of the criteria to be a planet. It is also not alone in its orbit; it is part of a wide group of small-scale objects that have been detected revolving around the Sun beyond Neptune.

In the outer limits of our solar system there is a planet unlike any other, Pluto. Pluto was discovered in February of 1930 by an American astronomer, Clyde Tombaugh. It is the only planet to have been discovered by an American. All though we have known of the existence of Pluto for over thirty years now, there are still many mysteries surrounding this celestial body. Being the farthest planet has made it difficult to study Pluto, Adding to the obscurity of this strange planet is that the capability to send spacecraft such distances has never been achieved. Through the wonders of science and astronomy, there are many things that can be determined, concluded, and hypothesized about this obscure planet.

The primary goal of this project is to create a standalone environment for JTMG of the MSO application Pluto which will allow JTMG to be independent of PMG. There are five main objectives that needed to occur for the migration to be successful.
