In the poem, "Being Connected," the grandpa and the grandson Jordan has a different opinion about telephones than the grandpa does. One of the characters ( which is grandpa) thinks that the telephone should only be used to make appointments and share big news or relay emergencies. The other character ( which is the grandson) thinks the new cellphones are not for just numbers but for games, cameras, and the internet. One day me and my grandson were sitting on the porch after I got off the phone he got the important news when one of his rich friends Ty called to let me know that a newer touchscreen edition of a phone was coming out in one week. " Grandpa now we can finally get rid of the old thing that you call an phone,". I look at Jordan in a way to let him know that I was not going to get rid of the phone any time sooner.In case you are wondering what kind of phone we are talking about its a telephone that is heavy with a long black curly cord. The reason I told Jordan that is because the way you hold the phone in your hands and up to face can make you go blind because of radiation. Another reason you shouldn't have a phone is because you will spend more time on it than getting the daily exercise that you need then that can have effects on you nutrition diet. The last reason you shouldn't have a phone is because that could cause you to get behind on your school work and make you fail the eighth grade.
