The poem, “Barter” also uses repetition. Sara Teasdale incorporates this poetic device into her poem in the lines, “Life has loveliness to sell,” (Teasdale lines 1, 7). Teasdale repeats this line because it is the overall theme and message to the poem. This line is what she wants the reader to get out of the poem. Overall, both the song and poem show examples of repetition. In both texts, the authors use many symbols in their lyrics and words. In “Life is Worth Living”, Justin Bieber uses many symbols to describe the message of the song. One example of that would be the lines, “Said it ain't over / Oh, even in the midst of doubt / Life is worth living” (Bieber lines 16-18).
