FORGIVE ME WHEN I WHINE
By: Bruno Hagspiel
Today, upon a bus, I saw a lovely girl with golden hair. I envied her. She seemed so gay, and wished I were as fair. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg, and wore a crutch. But as she passed- a smile. O God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs. The world is mine!
I stopped to buy some lollies. The lad who sold them had such charm. I talked to him. He seemed so glad. If I were late, ‘twould do no harm. And as I left he said to me, “ I thank you. You’ve been so kind. It’s nice to talk with

This poem is customary relating to life of each human, it could be related to a human nature, where in we arrive to a point of whimpering or complaining to something and yearning to things we wanted to have. We tend not to appreciate the things we have till we saw some less fortunate people than us. Simply saying, we should be cheerful and must learn to appreciate the things we possessed. That’s the best message here we can get.
WEEP NO MORE MY LADY
By: Gems of Thought
When I quit this mortal shore, And live around this earth no more, Don’t weep, don’t sight, don’t grieve, don’t sob I may have stuck a better job. Don’t go and buy a large bouquet. For which it may be hard to pay. Don’t hang around me feeling blue; I may be better of than you. Don’t tell the folks I was a saint, Or anything you know I ain’t. If you have stuff like this to spread, Please hand it out before I’m dead. If you have roses, bless your soul, Just pin one in my button hole. But do it while I’m at my best Instead of when I’m safe at rest.

It is quietly easy to take in this poem or to relate on this ode. To everyone who
Firstly, the speaker’s attitude or the tone demonstrates how a person can be the cause of their own misery. From the very start of the poem the speaker has a depressing tone. Any little event that occurs the speaker reads it as a negative occurrence that adds to his ever growing misery. For Example, when the speaker says “Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.” The speaker hears a knock on the door and opens it to see that there is no one there. Instead of going back to sleep he demonstrates his negative attitude by

Beauty is a subjective idea that focuses on the characteristics preferable to a single species that gives an advantage over another and at the cost of another species survival. Humans have created astounding empires with beautiful cities and monuments because they were the most progressive species that are able to do so because of their capacity for violence. Some empires fear for their survival, so they must eliminate any threat whether it be humans or other animals. The poem, “Thanks” by Yusef Komunyakaa, it symbolizes how humans can become single minded only driven by their own personal desires at the sake of anyone else. Humans naturally commit ugly atrocities to progress their own beauty, or at least idea of, and they instinctively oppose nature because mankind is the dark side of nature.
The Poem “Introduction to Poetry” is by Billy Collins, an English poet, and it is about how teachers often force students to over-analyze poetry and to try decipher every possible meaning portrayed throughout the poem rather than allowing the students to form their own interpretation of the poem based on their own experiences.
Poetry is a beautiful way to express the subtext within it, using literary devices which enhances the poem 's beauty. Poetry is considered to take distorted ideas and transforms it into beautiful words. Therefore, resulting the harsh truth being displayed in a form of a poem for readers to sink into another point of view. These creators called poets, are a group of people with a wide variety of experiences that an average person does not usually experience. They can create a more unified meaning in their masterpiece, without taking up 300 pages to exhibit their meaning, and still hold different interpretations by different readers. Poets are known to uncover the truth, which could be their experiences or reality based ideas, by beautifying the reality with literary devices to make it more relatable and enjoyable but still hold that very core of the meaning behind the poem. Poetry is a powerful vessel, between creator and reader, to change a person’s outlook of life or one’s surroundings. A poem can change moods, enhances one’s personality, gain a sense of people knowledge and become a bit more sensitive around one 's world. Even if poets are not aware of the power poetry holds, they still do it to convey an experience, a lesson or a journey. All of this relates to 'Love and Roses ' by Tracy Marshall, where the speaker is telling the reader a journey of their blinding love. The abusive relationship exists in the speaker 's life but is distracted by the idea of the
“Embrace” by Billy Collins seems to be another poem which is lighthearted at first but, when the words are analyzed, is actually quite dark (I’m referring to “My Papa’s Waltz which the majority of the class agreed was actually abuse). The first stanza of “Embrace” is amusing. The act of wrapping one’s arms around oneself is generally thought to be funny. The first lines show little hint of the second half of the poem. Stanza two is the exact opposite of the first. In movies, the technique is sometimes used by someone to tease a friend, but in this poem, it brings a feeling of loneliness. Collins compares it to a fitting for a straitjacket. From the front, nothing is friendly or funny about the situation. Collins explicitly mentions the stark
James Niigaanwewidan Sinclair’s poem Dancing in a mall discloses the plethora of excitement involved in participating in the “Idle no more” movement. The upbeat tempo manifests the enthusiasm conveyed by those involved in the crusade against the government of Canada’s mistreatment of reserve lands. As the movement gains support, the energy grows with it, demonstrating that the participants in this cause will not cease until the essence of their protest is fully embodied. The narrator of Dancing in a Mall communicates his passion for his indigenous culture and the “Idle no more” movement through symbolism, referring to Native folklore and by using repetition to convey his enthusiasm for the cause.

Poetry is a reduced dialect that communicates complex emotions.
