My mother has always asked me what I wanted to be when I get older. For so many years I was not able not able to answer this question. She is not the only one that have asked me this question. I have found that this question has become to be common to many of us. On the other hand, after working for fifteen years as a security officer, I know exactly what I want to do with my life. I want to further my education and skills to pursue my career. I have chosen Criminal Justice as my choice of studies. I have already obtained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Ashworth University. Police officers have played a major role in society by protecting us from crime. Their responsibilities include not only preserving the peace, preventing criminal acts, enforcing the law, investigating crimes, and arresting those who violate the law but also directing traffic, community relations work, and controlling crowds at public events.

Have you thought about what you want to do after high school i have thought about it over and over. After hard thinking I came to conclusion what i would want to be. I would want to be a Arkansas State Trooper. The history of the Troopers, is that on march 19th it was approved that arkansas had a state police department.

There will always be a fight for justice, and where there is crime there are those who must solve them. I wish to pursue a career in the criminal justice industry, mainly working as a forensic science criminalist. Those who use scientific logic and evidence found at the scene of the crime to solve the case, The heroes who don’t wear the labcoats instead of the black and blues. Heroes like these need certain skills, interests, and values that make them an official criminalist.

As a child, I always wanted a career enforcing the law. Weather it was with the police department or criminal justice was undecided at that time. As I grew older I pulled more to the fence of criminal justice. Simply because I do not like the way the system is set up.

Before I began job shadowing in the Law Enforcement career field I thought that most of these occupations were filled with constant excitement. I was under the impression that these were very active jobs with minimal desk work. As a civilian who has never actually been on the law enforcement side of things, I thought that the officers on road patrol would have nonstop contact with the public and have nearly no time in between calls. I felt that the officers that worked in corrections were constantly having to fight or assert their dominance over the inmates. Some individuals know early on in life what their career choice may be, while others may not know just yet. I was undecided until I enrolled for classes in 2011. I am now four semesters away from being able to graduate with a bachelor’s degree so I can attend law school. I have an interest in attending Oklahoma City University School of Law. I have done some research on this particular school and feel that this would be a better fit for myself.

After receiving a degree from WLC I am not too sure what I want to do with my life, however i have currently been thinking about the field of law enforcement. Realizing the career that would be right for me. Would likely be a private/criminal investigator. Seeing that I am motivated and committed for a job like this it can become a widely problem-solving, communicational career for me. I’m willing to use my skills to help others in need in the criminal field. Pursuing this career it would allow me to always have something exciting happen daily and always be on my toes. Therefore, this is something that interests me a lot and I know it would be fun for me. As a private investigator, it requires much of schooling, ways to make sure you are a problem solver,and helping people with their cases of criminals and more that can get away from the trouble they had caused.

Police officers are responsible for protecting people and property. Related job titles include Sheriffs and sheriffs deputy, detectives, and state police officers. However all of these job titles have similar duties for example they are all responsible for the protection of people and property. These job titles might be very similar but they do differ in many ways. Police officers patrol the city issuing citations keeping the peace and conduct traffic stops. Sheriff 's and deputies hold practically the same duties as police officers but do so for the entire county. A state police officer could also be addressed as a state trooper. These officers usually patrol highways and issue citations and are frequently called for comprehensive law enforcement services. Detective is the title that differs from the others the most. Detectives aren 't in uniform. They investigate crime scenes and find evidence for criminal cases. Detectives conduct interviews, observe activities of suspects, and also participate in raids. Although a normal police officer does not earn as much income as related titles it is still a very demanding and dangerous job.

Personally, I would be satisfied being in the law enforcement career because it can help people and to me it’s doing something great with my life.
