Patriarchy is a social system in which males holds power and predominate major political roles and leadership, authority and privilege. In the family, fathers and grandparents holds the power to control over women and children. Most patriarchal society is patrilineal that the authority is automatically passed down from father to son, and the cycle continues on without any female interference. Patriarchal society has predominated most societies in history.
Polytheism is the belief in multiple gods and goddesses with different qualities, religions, and rituals. Since they are treated as equal as property, they can be bought, sold, and owned. They don’t have the rights to oppose to the ultimate decision by the owner, but follow their arrangements. Chattel slavery, also known as classical slavery, is very un common today, that a slave can be purchased at the time of capture, by trade, and at birth. Chattel slavery is very un lawful in most countries today, but people are still considered slave if they are forced to work for another person or organization without the right to alter and terminate the arrangement. The present form of slave trade in today’s world is known as human trafficking. Slavery existed in many cultures before recorded history, it goes in the form of debt bondage, servants, serfdom, child labour, and forced marriage. In modern Western countries, the social stratifications results in three social classes, the upper class, the middle class, and the lower class. Each class can be subdivided into more classes within the class. Categorizing people into classes is a common phenomenon in all societies and cultures.
