In the local town a local church was burning down and three men named Ponyboy, Dally, and Johnny went into the burning church to save 5 children who were inside the church and didn’t know how to escape. When the boys got in there to help the child, the only way that they could escape is by setting the kids out the window and then getting out the window as fast as they could.
Hello, my name is Susan Stewart. I am a member of the Wheatland High School Grad Night Committee. The committee is comprised of Volunteers who plan and facilitate the Safe and Sober Grad Night event for Wheatland High School graduates. Committee members are meeting with local community businesses and leaders like yourself, to ask if they would be interested in supporting an event aimed at keeping our local teens safe on such a celebratory night.
I could see them talking and a woman ran up to the and it looked like she was going to lose her marbles. She started to talk to the man that Pony was with. She told him something and I could hear him say “I’ll get them don’t worry.” Pony looked at him and ran to the church. I got out of the car and ran after Pony. I caught up to him and he said to surprise “Hey Johnny.” He told me that the door was in flames and we had to find something to break the window with. He found a rock and smashed the window. Pony climbed in the window and I climbed in after him. When I got inside the church had fire everywhere. We heard the kids’ screams and we went to the screams. We found the kids in a corner
Do you want to have fun at Middle Park? Well, if you do that's great, because we are thinking about some fun things you can do while you’re here. How about a snowman building contest? This is where families can go against each other to build the biggest snowman, and whoever wins get there picture in the newspaper. Now that sounds like fun!
Every year Mater Little Miracles (MLM) helps provide premature or seriously ill babies with a second chance. Donating can help these young children to grow and have a good life. hmm… Let’s say you end up having a child at one point and the child was born premature or with a birth defect. All the doctors say that your child wouldn’t live for more than two weeks. However, what if the Mater Little Miracle foundation helped save your child? Picture you child five years later, when you see your child on their first day of school and you remember that at the beginning they weren’t meant to survive… How grateful would you be? MLM work in so many different ways, let me tell
In one second my team mate could kill me. If I misjudge the distance or she loses her footing everything could take a turn for the worse. We spend 2-3 hours a day practicing, making sure everything is perfect. My teammate is more than double my weight and size. We speak two different languages and somehow we are in sinc.
The boys, Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy were just coming to the church and saw it. It was just a normal afternoon until this happened. The boys saw a church on fire and they knew they needed to act fast. They went up to it close and could hear kids screaming. They knew they needed to get in there and act right away. The boys went into the burning down church. They went in and kept walking towards the sound of kids screaming.
Summary- Despite having never seen this movie, I have seen this scene hundreds upon hundreds of times. I listen to this speech before every game I play. This is an all-around great pre-game pump up speech. The coach talks to his team before a big game. He is telling them that the difference between winning and losing (living and dying) is just inches. In football, they may literally be fighting for inches, but in reality, it’s not about the inches. It’s about the effort. Having both played and coached sports, I appreciate the message the coach is sharing. Overall, I just really love this speech.
Hello, we are three students from Norwood Park School, we are respectively named Gaby, Jake, and Concepcion. Currently, we’ve been learning about the Lost Boys of Sudan and as a final project, have been assigned to write a letter to one of the Lost Boys. As you already know, we’ve been assigned to you and to start this off: we are very sorry that you lost father and five uncles. And are very happy that your mother survived and you survived. We all are very interested in how you made it to America. We want to know in what made you keep
Have you served in a war? Has your father or mother served in a war? How about your grandpa? As we honor those who have served we typically do so by standing for the pledge of allegiance or star spangled banner. We say thank you to our war heroes or we go and visit them and listen to their stories. In this paper I will be discussing why NFL players should not be allowed to kneel for the flag. Although the NFL players have the right to peacefully protest, they should find a different way than kneeling as it shows disrespect towards the flag also active duty military and veterans, it teaches young children this behavior is okay, what they are protesting has nothing to do with the flag and there are many different ways to get their message out.
Middle school is a weird time for everyone I am pretty sure. The three-year time period is filled with hormones, drama, and stinky boys who have yet to learn the wonders of deodorant. You find friends, lose friends, everyone begins to get their first phones, you start “dating”, and you gain a whole new taste of freedom that you never had before that first day. All is which to be expected, but the one thing you can not prepare an 11-year-old girl, who has lived in a tight perfect bubble her whole life, for is the death of someone close to you, someone you have looked up to for over half of your short life.
“Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, & happiness.” Agriculture is a big role in our lives, we need agriculture to live day by day. Do you think without pigs we could live? Pigs make up some of our human resources, like bacon for food. The production of swine is a big role in agriculture as well, they help to produce food for our everyday living.
Solar flares are destroying the planet and a little boy with horse hooves for his hands and feet. This month’s column interesting dreams for the end of the world and someone helping a little boy whose hands and feet are shaped like horse hooves have quite a few interpretations. Dream I had a dream last night that I arrived at a house to help someone. A lady answered the door, who looked very tired and troubled.
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.
For example, using a leftover coffee can for loose nails or screws, or even washing and reusing a plastic zip-loc bag instead of throwing it in the garbage. Thrift shopping is a way of reusing someone else’s unwanted goods. As I spoke about in an earlier speech about thrifting, I included many locations and ways to thrift, also the benefits to the shopper and the donator. One place in particular was shopping at the local boys and girls club. I personally shop there, keeping my eyes open for a good deal. For example, the pair of jeans that I am wearing today was purchased from this store just a few months ago. I paid only $8.00 for this pair of Lucky Jeans and according to buckle.com, a retailer for lucky jeans the retail price is $99.00 that is a savings to me of $91.00.I am not the type to worry about name brands, but quality usually does cost more. If I can get a quality pair of jeans at a fraction on the price, I am glad to shop at the thrift store. I am thankful to the person that made the donation of the lucky jeans and they can benefit from that donation. According to the IRS webpage, IRS. Gov it explains that an individual can donate items like clothing, household furniture and furnishings, a car or boat, even taxidermy. The donations are appraised, by the donator, and recorded. At the time of filing taxes if the donation equals at least $500 for the year, the donator may take advantage of the
