Virtual reality has been presented in pop culture as an extraordinary opportunity for every connected person to find his or her field. Exploring the vision of communication through the concept of virtual reality is simply discovering the limits of physical reality and how a virtual environment is presented to an individual’s senses. In “Culture Industry: Enlightenment as Mass Deception”, Adorno and Horkheimer argue that all forms of popular culture are designed to satisfy the rising needs of mass capitalistic consumers for entertainment. They believe that all products of the culture industry are designed for profit and nothing else. Virtual reality offers many opportunities in pop culture, including a first step into the landscape of imagination, providing more communication, and a pathway to greater technology. Virtual reality opens a new idea of imagination and what it can provide. It promises the limits of reality in a physical manner. According to Stephen Ornes who is one of the authors on Discover Magazine, “VR makes the unreal real, using computer software and hardware that responds to our body’s movements to immerse us in a convincing alternate existence.” With this concept in mind, the possibilities are endless.
