It is not mentally not looking at circumstances with eyes that see only what you want to see”. In other words using Positive Self-Talk shows us the truth on real situations. For example: you were trying out for the school volleyball team and you messed up on bumping the ball, when the negative thoughts occur that is when the positive self talk will take place “ok I’m now going to focus on what I need to complete in order to make it on the team.” There is a way in which you can develop a positive self talk habit, there are 3 steps and the first one is “Mantra”, choose a mantra and find a positive self talk for example; “I feel strong”. This positive self talk will encourage you to feel motivated. The second step is “Practice Multiple Scenarios”after using the positive self talk from step one, repeat the line so you can practice having it sink in your brain. It will help you during real situations in sports a example for this step is “Anything can happen, and I’m definitely not out of this, Don’t let up”. Finally, the last step called “Creating A Positive Mental Image Or Visualization” this technique can help you create a visual picture on what you are doing and saying This powerful combination will create a positive message.
I believe that in life you have to have a positive mindset on the things you do. Having a positive mindset will influence the things that you do. If you are constantly being negative then negative things will happen to you, but if you are positive, positive things will happen to you.
In the strength of positivity, an individual is often smiling, praising other people for their accomplishments, smiling and always keeping a positive attitude in every situation (Rath, 2007). The eager for enjoyment in life is very attracting, as an individual with positivity strength views the world in a better place. As this person comes in contact with other people in this world, a positive vibe is transformed into their lives. Even if negative things are happening around this individual, the positivity strength defeats and overcomes the negative energy (Rath,

It may bring them out of a depressed state after something atrocious has happened. Being positive can help the people around me. If my friend lost an important game and is mournful about it, then being positive and getting ice cream will help her feel better. That is my first reason why having a favorable mindset results in achievements.
One area of my life that currently is in balance is my College education. The actions that I take to maintain the balance is to make sure I get enough sleep, eat and take breaks to relax if I feel overwhelmed. And I do not wait until the last minute to study or do coursework.
Cambridge Dictionary (2016) defines Optimism as “the quality of being full of hope and emphasizing the good parts of a situation, or a belief that something good will happen” Cambridge Dictionary, 2016. To me, being optimistic can help any situation. For example, I work around 25 hours per week whilst studying full time, which results in me being stressed. Having a more positive behaviour towards my studies and work has helped me immensely with reducing my stress levels. Being a student, it can be very hard to deal with getting bad feedback or not finding the resources you need to complete a great assignment. I use my optimism to
Looking at the bright side and noticing what is right as opposed to what is wrong is not normal for most people. It is commonly thought that being optimistic is not being realistic and even though that is true for some people, there are ways to be optimistic in a healthy manner that can help one see life’s challenges realistically even when times get tough. Being optimistic is a skill that takes effort and thought but spending the time to work on cultivating optimism can be life changing. Cultivating optimism is one of the happiness enhancing strategies that has been shown to increase happiness levels and positive thoughts about the future, which is the concept which I experimented with when I conducted the Best Possible Selves activity.
With all of this negativity we hear in our personal and professional lives, as well as what we hear on television and the Internet, it's hard to maintain a positive mindset. This can lead to us becoming depressed and less productive in our professional and personal lives. This is why it is vital we maintain a positive mindset.
Instead of just living your life like most of the mankind, on autopilot, letting silly and negative thoughts pop into your mind, consciously feed your mind positive input. Practise this on the first day of every single week, and do it throughout the day. Just do positive things for your body and brain. Read inspirational books or listen to this kind of music, go to fitness, , or call an important person, do the things, that are valuable to you. And for all, avoid the negative ones !
An example of two positive thinking and optimism works for me is when I used to get panics attack I use to think positive close my eyes and take myself to a happy place it used to help it go away. Or when I work out telling myself you got this helps me get thru the workout.
My chosen empirical articles, relevant course material, as well as personal experience have all produced evidence which supported the idea that practicing dispositional optimism would benefit me. I indeed have improved the way in which I attain a goal that I want to achieve. I plan to further establish this mindset while continually striving toward and improving how I realize my goals. Sustaining this optimistic mindset might be a difficult task; I expect to reap a constructive outcome
In Category 2 of the Seven Habits Profile which tests “Life Balance,” I rated on the high end of “good.” I will always put myself in the middle when it comes to balancing the people in my life and the feelings of others because there is always work to be done. This is what makes me a self-aware person, though, because I am conscious of the fact that no matter what I do, there is always room for improvement (Lanz, 2013). I use this skill in leadership by helping followers be mindful of their life balance.
Repeating is ESSENTIAL here. And I know repeating a single affirmation 30 times a day can be time consuming, BUT thankfully we have a solution for that! Grab a voice recorder, your phone, or the one on your computer and record yourself saying all these affirmations, in any order you want. Come up with the affirmations that best work for what you want to accomplish. Record them and play them to yourself as many times during the day as you want. And another great thing with having them recorded is that you DO NOT have to be consciously listening to them. You can listen to them while doing the dishes, ironing clothes, running, working out, whenever. You'll love them!
I always take a negative situation and try seeing the positive in it. For example, if I am walking on the street and see an advertisement for healthier foods and the main attention is on a very thin model, usually I start thinking I should pay attention to what I eat so I can look at that model I instead tell myself that I am so blessed to have a healthy body and to have to two legs to walk me everywhere I please to. Simple reminders like this go a long way.
