When it comes to the topic of attaining a college degree, most will readily agree that it is essential to securing a successful career post-graduation. Whereas some are convinced that a college degree does not guarantee entry into a career in one 's field of study nor does it determine success in one 's career, others maintain that a higher education is, in fact, the way to job security and financial success. What comes into question is whether the investment in a college education is truly worth it or not in order to accomplish a student 's goals of success. I think it could be said for most prospective college students that the reason for going to college is to gain the credentials required for most jobs today. What many of those potential students may not realize is the substantial percentage of graduates who do not acquire a job related to their majors, how much debt they will incur, and just how many students don 't graduate at all for reasons such as an overwhelming workload and a poor work/ life balance.

Career advancements are possible as a pen tester. By working for many years and gaining more and more experience promotions and higher level positions are opened which will bring in an even larger salary. Moreover, the possibility of moving on to a more prestige position at a different company is also another possibility for testers who are highly regarded and experienced.

Kaplin & Lee (2014) describe the law in higher education as “pervasive and inescapable” (p.11) because it is integrated into every area of campus activities. Postsecondary intuitions must observe laws and regulations from external sources such as the federal, state, and local government as well as accrediting agencies and athletic associations. Along with external sources, it also must adhere to its own internal policies that are specific to its institution. Regulations can be overbearing because it leaves little room for error to be made, and if so could lead to legal disputes. My post secondary goals are astonishingly important to me because they ultimately shape my life and future career I wish to pursue. There are countless goals that I not only yearn to accomplish, but aspire to accomplish. My plans for my post secondary education is to attend a four year university to earn a bachelor's degree. My post-secondary educational plan is to study in the medical field to become a Physical Therapist. It will take several years to become a physical therapist. Before I am allowed to practice I would need a graduate degree from certified academic programs in physical therapy. These programs typically in a doctoral degree and take at least three years to complete. To become a PT some of the classes I will need to take are anatomy, physiology, and biology.

My future goal consists of the study of animals, primary in their behavior, evolution, and beneficial values. However, I also want to protect and care for the many animals that exist with us. I believe by pursing a post-secondary education, I will be one step closer to achieving my goal. A post-secondary education will provide me, with the necessary knowledge in basic animal science. It will as well me to take on opportunities where I will gain my own knowledge and experiences, such as research projects, internships, or just being able to be close to animals. Pursuing a post-secondary education is very important because without that extra education you will not be able to get as good of a career as you would with a post-secondary education. Though, those living in Ontario, like myself, have the privilege of government bursary and loan programs, it is still a financial struggle to fund the education that is vital to a strong career path. Dedication with the proper approach will certainly bring success both in your education and career goals.
