Potential Fundraising Activities All Walks of Life (AWOL) is an organization that intertwined their self into the community therefore is would make sense to gauge their fundraising activities around community events and pairing up with other organizations in the community that have the same goals. One such organization that comes to mind is Crime Stoppers. This organization goal is to make the community safer by enlisting the help of the individuals in their own neighborhoods. In essence, both AWOL and Crime Stoppers have the same goal in mind, which is to reduce crime in the community. Every May Crime Stoppers holds the Azalea Run and charges $35 dollars to join the race. If AWOL teams up with Crime Stoppers to sponsor the run they could potentially raise a significant amount of money for their organization. More than 3000 people sign up for this run, which results in around 100,000 dollars being generated in one day by the race alone (Paynter, 2010). In addition, to the money from the race they could also sell the CD 's that are produced through the P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S program along with T-shirts and other memorabilia that the organization could generate for selling. I would also consider asking local eateries to donate food to sell at the race. It would be an excellent way for the business to advertise their food and proceeds would be split between the two nonprofits.
