Poverty in America
America. The land of hopes and dreams, where everyone can live free and happy. But, to 46.2 Million U.S citizens, that isn’t the case whatsoever. 46.2 Million is the number of innocent civilians who suffer the cold lifestyle of poverty. Living paycheck-to-paycheck, wondering where their next meal will be coming from, and sometimes not being able to afford a simple doctor’s visit. In an effort to help American citizens get themselves out of poverty, the government should create a law that requires all businesses to raise the minimum wage of $7.25 so that struggling citizens can have enough to provide for themselves and/or their families too. Overall, America needs to take care of their citizens because it impacts their physical health and their social relationships.

American Citizens already have a lot on their plates connected to money. And sometimes it can really affect their physical state. They may have to skip going to the doctors/dentist regularly, might skip a meal or two to save for bills or provide more for their family and sometimes not being able to even afford a house that forces you to live on the streets could cause harm to your wellbeing as well.
