Power Ten: 1. New England Patriots: 7-0 Another week, another outstanding game from the Patriots. They are clearly the best team in the NFL. I feel like I say it every week, but the Patriots have so much versatility on offense they are almost impossible to prepare for. Tom Brady is playing the best football of his career. He is making the quarterback position look easy each and every week. Brady is on pace for 46 touchdowns and over 5,500 yards. 2. Cincinnati Bengals: 7-0 Despite Andy Dalton playing his worst game of the season, the Bengals got it done Sunday, beating the Steelers 16-10. This win showed me a lot about the Bengals. They traveled into Pittsburgh and got the job done. In the past, this is a game the Bengals would have laid …show more content…
Since becoming a staple of the offense, the Vikings has averaged more points, yards, and plays per game than they did prior to him being active. In addition to that, with Diggs in the lineup Teddy Bridgewater has looked much more like the guy we saw at the end of last season, than the guy we saw through the first three …show more content…
With a very favorable remaining schedule the Vikings find themselves in a nice situation as we head toward the second half of the season. 8. St. Louis Rams: 4-3 Yes, you read that correctly, the St. Louis Rams are in my Power Ten. They have an elite defense, ranking in the top six of each statistical category for team defense. They have the best defensive line with Chris Long, Aaron Donald, and Robert Quinn. Their secondary is one of the best in the game, routinely shutting down opposing teams passing games. The team has always had a great defense during the Jeff Fisher Era, but for the first time the team finally has a legitimate playmaker on offense, and that guy is Todd Gurley. Gurley leads the NFL in rushing yards per carry with 6.7. Despite only playing in five games, Gurley is fifth in the entire league in rushing yards. The Rams are a serious threat to qualify for a wild car spot and are clearly the second best team in the NFC West. 9. Seattle Seahawks:
The game overall was nice a sight for the eyes. The Bills and Bengals both struggled offensively. Tyrod Taylor finished
For the most part of the first 3 quarters, it was all Pittsburgh with a 20-7 lead over Arizona. To end the first half James Harrison had a 100 yard pick six. Arizona stormed back in the 4 quarter to take the lead after Fitzgerald’s 64 yard touchdown sprint. 2:30 was left in the game and Big Ben lead his team to win the game with an unreal throw and catch. (McGinn 347)
The offense started to show promise and the defense was strong vs the Cardinals which is good as they’ll travel to New England to play the Patriots this week. The Patriots are ailing with QB woes and the Bills could possibly steal a victory from the Patriots due their injury situation at QB.
It all changed today after the regulation, as the Vikings upset the Packers, 17-14. As a result, they've moved to 2-0 record. It was believed that two-thirds of the team with this record can make the playoffs. However, there was a setback when the Vikings won over the Packers. On Jane Slater's Twitter account, she posted a video of Adrian Peterson, who suffered a nasty injury on his right knee during the game. He was fine standing up with crutches, on the team's locker room and it wasn't know when he will come back to play for the team. The Vikings have lost a guy who is really determined to win. As long Sam Bradford regains his true form with the Minnesota Vikings, expect that they're going to have a better future ahead. Not only that, they can contend for a playoff run and a possible championship match with a strong
Well, the answer is quite simple. They have best quarterback in the league, Aaron Rodgers, and a team full of players who are familiar with each other. Currently, there is only one player on the Packers roster who has played with another professional organization. This is remarkable, considering the amount of player movement that happens throughout the NFL.
"A hell of a lot better than how they performed last season," according to the Buccaneers defensive coordinator.
New England has traded away almost half of their picks in the upcoming draft, forcing them to have to deal with the fact of minimal rookies that can better their team for the future. Even, though inexperienced, young rookies have made the pro bowl and made other great accomplishments. This proves how important it is too keep fresh talent coming in. Anyone can see the Browns have plenty of fresh talent coming in. They have not traded away a single pick plus have more picks total than every other team. They total seven picks in the top 108 and twelve total. This shows they are well prepared to build there team for years to come. Their simple, yet strategic way of building their team up is a sure way to have a powerhouse in a few short
Julian Edelman had 11 receptions for 97 yards, Rob Gronkowski had five receptions for 94 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Dion Lewis, who clearly looks like he is Shane Vereen's replacement, had four receptions for 51 yards, out of the backfield. Brady ended his night going 25 for 32 with 288 passing yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Now that is how you come out firing on all cylinders in the opening game against an opponent who is known for having a hard nose defense. At one point, Brady completed 19 consecutive passes, which was a franchise record for completions in a game, as he picked apart the Steelers defense piece by piece.
I think that the Green Bay Packers are the greatest football team of all time. These facts are true because of the people who made the Packers great, the history, and how the people of Green Bay own the Packers. There are many other reasons but I want to specify these because I believe these reasons stand out the most. Also, we are so good we have a Super Bowl trophy named after us. In addition to all of this, we have won four super bowls and have thirteen world championships. If you ever want to have some fun with the family, take them out to Lambeau Field. Go through the hall of fame or take a tour of the beautiful atrium and box seats. One secret that you might not know is, if you shout at the stadium, it shouts back. So if anyone ever asks
Why will they win the super bowl people might ask because they have great teamwork skills and have a good offence of coordinator. People might say they don't have anyone good on there team. That would be not true with Demarco Murray , Darren Sproles and Sam Bradford. This three make a good team. They are fast good at screens and can run.
The Patriots have the biggest non-quarterback difference maker in the NFL. Rob Gronkowski is an absolute beast of a football player. He is an unstoppable force. He is impossible to stop. In addition to Gronkowski, Tom Brady looks better than ever. He is playing with a chip on his shoulder. He, like Rogers has been just about perfect, completing 69 percent of his passes.
At 8-0 the Bengals have some breathing room in the AFC North. They sit four games up in the loss column on the second place Steelers.
The Denver Broncos unique mascots, amazing plays and players, and a great comeback over the years, has made them such an interesting and amazing team. So far they have
There was some concern about Wendell Smallwood character who was arrested back in 2014. Smallwood was charged with trying to get a witness to recant statements that implicated a friend of Smallwood's in a 2012 fatal shooting in Wilmington. Those charges were dropped. Smallwood was able to lead the Big 12 in rushing with 1,519 yards, with 9 TD’s and added 8 games with 100 or more yards. Smallwood was able to run a 4.47 at the 40 yard dash at the combine which gave him the 5th fast time for running backs and was also The Top Performer in the 3 cone drill and 60 yard shuttle. Smallwood can also catch the ball out of the backfield. Smallwood should rotate with Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles next season. The Eagles have been adding offensive lineman this off-season both in FA and Draft which will help the Running game.
One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. The last one he threw at home before that was in 2012. He went three years without throwing an interception at home. Truly a remarkable feat. In 2011, Aaron had one of the best seasons
